FEELING LUCKY

I'm feeling very blessed today.  I am so grateful that my children have such good friends that enjoy being outside and just playing!!!!  This is almost an everyday accurance in our cult-i-sac and I couldn't be more happy about it!

RYLAN'S SCOUTING

Rylan has really enjoyed the scouting program.  This last week was the Pine Wood Derby.  Dad asked him if he wanted a fast car or one he designed and he wanted to make his car a shark.  He actually ended up 13th out of about 40 cars!  He won the award for the Best Vehicle Not a Car.  I think he had more fun building the car with Dad and Bob-O than actually racing the car.

Rylan earned his Wolf also this month.  He has worked hard and enjoyed every minute of it!

ANNIVERSARY #9

Image
Jordan and I spent our ninth anniversary at the Cosmopolitan.  We had dinner at Holsteins and then saw a great concert by the pool, BLINK 182!!!  It was a great night and it has been a great 9 years with the love of my life.  It hasn't always been easy but it sure has been good going through it with Jordan!

LABOR DAY FUN

We spent Labor Day in Parowan and enjoyed the lazy weekend.  It rained a LOT so we didn't ride as much as we would have liked but still had a good time!

The rain finally stopped Sunday afternoon so we decided to take a ride to the lake.  The roads were pretty washout and not easy to ride.  We probably should not have gone all the way to the lake because it was starting to get dark when we started home.  About half way to the lake Rylan told me he had a bad feeling and we needed to go back to the house.  I kept telling him everything was fine and figured he was scared of the roads.  He continued to tell me we needed to go back and I continued to ignore him.  On our way back to the house the RZR lost all power and was dead.  All the kids were in there and by this time we were in the middle of the mountains and it was pitch black (due to the clouds the moon was not very bright).  Luckily it was something fairly simple to fix and we were on our way in about 30 minutes. Once we got back to the house Rylan told me he knew something was going to go wrong and he kept praying to Heavenly Father to let everyone be okay because the adults wouldn't listen to him that we needed to turn around.  He knew that the holy ghost was telling him to turn around.  What an eye opening experience this was to me.  I forget sometimes that he has the holy ghost and I need to be more attentive to what he is saying.  I sure am thankful for the gospel and the holy ghost!
