Hi! I’m Heeseung Yun, a final year Ph.D. student at Seoul National University Vision and Learning Lab, working with Prof. Gunhee Kim. My research journey includes experience as a research scientist intern at Meta, and collaboration with researchers in AI2, NVIDIA, and Meta. My work is supported by fellowships from Qualcomm, Naver, and Yulchon.
I work on human-centric perceptual intelligence, aligning machine sensing with human multisensory perception to advance augmented reality, immersive telepresence, and robotic embodiment. Towards proactive egocentric intelligence, my active research areas include (i) audio-visual reasoning and generation, (ii) 2D/3D multisensory scene understanding, (iii) large multimodal model adaptation, and (iv) agentic embodiment.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing and (un)learning musical instruments. 🎸🥁🎤
