One day Maicey mentioned to me that she was having a hard time seeing the board in the class and after Jord and I did our own exam at home we took her in to the eye doctor.
Sure enough, Maicey needed glasses. She was so excited trying on the new frames and picking out just the right colors. She opted for purple/teal glasses with stars on the sides and Boy does she look cute. The whole drive after she got her glasses she kept tipping them up and down to compare the way things looked. She is so cute she kept saying, "When I do this I can read that and now it says...." We stopped at a stop sign and she said, "Mom, is that how you guys see trees." Poor girl. The good news is she can see clearly now and boy is she lovin her new specs.

Violet has been lovin her some heart shaped sandwiches this February. The sandwich of her choice is mayo, mustard, cheese, and lettuce.

Kindergarten--All Day--

Image

My baby started full day kindergarten at the beginning of this week. She was super excited to be able to eat lunch at school and for her first day Jordan and I told her we would make sure she got her lunch okay. We were able to hang  out with all the kids for some time while they had their lunch-I love my kiddos. We told Vi that tomorrow she would get her lunch by herself and she said, "Good, I want to do it all by myself." Well, I guess she doesn't need us anymore! My munchkins are all in school and I've got to admit it seems so quite and empty at the house. I miss them being home with me but, I guess I will have no excuses for not getting my homework done on time.

As far back as I can remember my Mom has always celebrated holidays--any holiday. Now that I am grown my kids are the lucky recipients of these special days. The kiddos get soooo excited when they get home and a package awaits. I decided to try and be better at capturing these moments and to help my Dad and Mom know how special they are to us.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Image

Image

Image

We went tree hunting this year with Corey and Brad. We walked up a path before deciding to hike up the snowy mountain. After having no luck at finding a decent tree we headed back down. Jordan found a way down that he thought was safe and we all soon found out the steepness. I slid on my butt most of the way down, Vi was on Jordan's back, and rusty would not budge. It was a great adventure and we were lucky enough to find this tree on the side of the original path we had walked, go figure. I love going tree hunting as a family and it will continue to be our tradition.

Random Cuteness

Image
Gage you are such a playful boy. We went to a church party and they had doughnuts that you eat from a string. You were so cute chasing that doughnut around as you tried to eat it. All the kids laughing sure egged you on. You were covered in powdered sugar and were proud of it. I love your witty personality, you are so fun to be around.

Image
Maicey you are all about peace signs and fashion. You love to dress up all girly and you have quite an original, cute fashion sense. You are artistic as well and you love to create things. I love your carefree, tender personality.

Image
Oh Violet you are my child who knows what you want and is not afraid to say it. You love to hang out with your friends every chance you get. You still love to cuddle with Mom and you scheme me into holding you more often than not. You are such a sweet girl.

I am so thankful for my sweet husband who took the kids out to the mall while I did some studying. Little did he know they were having a fundraisers and the kids got these awesome balloon hats and face painting. He is such a great Dad.

All Worn Out!

Image
The kids were worn out from playing so hard today. They were taking turns soaking their feet in my foot spa and when I checked on them Maicey was asleep in this position-LOVE IT.

Halloween Hauntings!

Image

Image

Maicey is a witch-she loved having a green face. We actually got her a different witch costume but her pettiskirt came in the mail she put together this.

Image

Gage is a phantom. It was so funny when he put the costume on he said, "Mom, I always wanted a dress!" Since then his friend informed me it is not a dress but a robe-my bad-

Image

Vi is Rapunzel. She originally wanted the long wig you buy at the store but I could not bring myself to spend $20 on it. I came up with this for her and it works. It was originally touching the ground per Violet's request but she soon realized it was hard to get around in.

The kiddos really wanted me and Jordan to dress up for Halloween. Jordan decided to humor them and I improvised with the leftover blood. The kids thought it was awesome!

Maicey is pretty proud of the mole we created on her nose. I love her crossed eyes.

Just Because!

Image
The other night while I was working on homework Maicey was working on this. She is so thoughtful and she sure LOVES to create.

Here comes the Tooth Fairy!

Image
Before: You may not be able to tell but Gage's tooth is literally hanging by a thread. He thinks it is pretty cool to twist it in unnatural positions.
Image
After: Two weeks of endless wiggling has paid off.

Gage has already lost his bottom two teeth, but there is something about the top two missing that I LOVE!

Gage lost a total of four teeth in one week here is his current look. TOOTHLESS!

Violet-Kindergarten

School has officially begun here in Idaho and although I am looking forward to a schedule, I will miss my kiddos being home all day. Today is the beginning of a new chapter for Jordan and I, as all three of our kids are in school. The extra three hours I get are already taken for some well needed studying. We can't believe our little Vi is old enough for school and we are excited to see her grow and learn. The kids have already met their teachers and were excited (but a little tired) this morning.

**update- Maicey says she has the nicest teacher and a comfy couch that she can read on.
Gage said, "school is longer than I thought, we didn't even do math"
Violet was super excited she was so big she said, "I want to stay in school forever."
