Interaction Design and Children 25th Conference
June 22nd – 25th 2026, Brighton, United Kingdom
As Interaction Design and Children celebrates its 25th conference, we invite the community to reflect on how we may create a more sustainable future. Children of today will inherit an environment deeply affected by the current climate and political crises. Children’s rights everywhere are under threat, while the very measures advertised as protecting them when using technologies raise new spectres of censorship and may limit their access to information. What alternatives may we propose as designers and technologists, that balance concerns about protection and agency? How do we help imagine and bring about a future where technology supports inclusivity and sustainability? How do we incorporate these principles throughout the research process and what can we do better? How may we centre care and maintenance alongside innovation in our community and work? These are some of the questions we invite you to explore at IDC 2026 in Brighton, UK.
This year’s logo was designed by Thea and Alex.
