I like the idea of not letting anything go to waste. If it takes a thoughtfully designed italian object to make this happen, so be it.
This is another well considered and inspirational reminder that waste should be put to work. And what we eat is important. And should be beautiful. Hear hear.
Likely the only thing growing here is mold and weeds, but I fancy it. I am fascinated by how nature takes over. Also just a good style based blog worthy of reading, coming at you from a couple pals in Brooklyn. I miss that place.

OLIVE STREET Sandpoint, Idaho: A thoughtful bunch-o-sedum cut for my birthday at the beginning of November has taken a surprising turn, shooting out roots. Sitting by a western facing window in my room, all but forgotten, I noticed an unfamiliar and new hue of green at the base of the bouquet.
What an extraordinary plant! I admire it’s ability to survive. In the spring I will stick it in the ground and see what happens.
FALLS VILLAGE, Connecticut: The Falls Village Inn is open for business once again! And well done indeed! Trying to escape from the city for the weekend? I would highly recommend this fine establishment as a final destination for both locals and city slickers alike.
