A little portrait

I struggled a lot with this one.  I did a restart and then had many changes as this progressed.  I think I pulled it together reasonably well considering.  Not sure what I was going for so it just doesn't feel like me.  If that makes any sense at all.

Emergence

Not so much a good drawing as a pretty fun pose.  If this were a fantasy painting I could see her nearly up to her knees in a pool of water pushing through a waterfall.  Or perhaps  shedding a heavy fur cloak while striding through deep snow.

Was finally getting a handle on the new model.  Another 5-10 minutes would've been much appreciated.

A little tilt

Just an ever so slight tilt to the hips.  The pose that led to the break, only five minutes.  Could've used a little more time to focus on her back a bit more.

Woo hoo! Back to drawing again!

A new model to get back into the swing of things.  It's been too long and it sure felt good to get back to it.  Not sure how much rust I had but it didn't matter.  It was fun and invigorating to be drawing the figure again. This was the first five minute drawing of the night and you can see that I was just feeling my way around the drawing.

Stretch

I really like where this sketch ended up.  Very unfinished yet very expressive.

Shawnas back.  Great musculature.

We may never know but Paige sure looked comfortable pondering.

Still older stuff

On a good note, I had a couple of pieces sold in the last couple of days.  One at Party for Preservation and the other in the Miniature Show at the Bradford Brinton in Big Horn, Wyoming.  Makes it worth all of the effort.
