We have an oddity in our home. There is a window at the end of the hall; originally when we purchased the house there was a door. Since that side of the house is very close to the property line, no steps were built to the doorway, and the door was several feet above ground level. For this reason, we had the door replaced with a window; the only window on that side of the house.
Now the view from the window is a bit absurd; there’s the fence, one of our compost boxes, the back corner of the neighbouring house, and a bit of the neighbouring backyard, that is immediately behind that house.
Now, the oddity does not stop there. The resident of that house was a unique personality, known to many in the community. His backyard was a wild bush lot, even between the two buildings on his property, a variety of trees rose up higgledy-piggledy, with no thought of the community by-laws.

As you might imagine, the residence itself had the same level of care as the surrounding property. Things came detached and hung swinging or blowing off into the wider world. This past Spring, our neighbour passed away. This Fall, due to a number of reasons, the town has now taken ownership of the property. It now sits empty, awaiting its inevitable fate. Hanging on, through what is likely, its final winter of discontent.

Well, we have had interesting views from the window, and extra backyard privacy. As to the neighbouring property, what follows will be, in all likelihood, less odd and absurd. We will have to wait and see. As always, MaY The DaDA bEE WiTh yOU.
Now it is Time to Tango out of Here!! Enjoy!
