We got our U.S. approval about 3 weeks ago!! Our I-800A, (which probably means nothing to most of you but a ton to us) deems us officially suitable to adopt a child from a Hague Convention country. It is one of many pieces of applications/forms/paperwork that we had to complete to get this far. Over that hurdle, so what now, right? Now we wait….wait for that day when we finally get to find out all the bits of information on our daughter. When? No clue, since the new guidelines, the timeframe for each step is not easily determined yet. Hopefully it will be any day now since we’ve been registered since June 6th. At least that’s how my brain works. It’s a bit of an obsession to check emails and when I see that symbol pop up on my phone, I get excited and then a bit annoyed that it is just “The latest NookBook that is 40% off today”. I have to remind myself often to look forward to each step without missing the journey and to fully cherish my time with my family now not wishing it past. I look forward to every evening because I know that is the beginning of the morning for Ind*a and maybe, just maybe, they are checking us out and sending information on our Baby Girl. (And I’ve confirmed that this behavior is not crazy as I’m not the only one who does this, right CH?) 🙂 But we will wait and we will trust God that He knows what He’s doing, ’cause I know I don’t! 🙂
The Spiritual Attack

It is pressed upon my heart to be real, honest, and truthful with all who read this post. Our family needs prayer! Our lives need God! Our lives need a God-centered movement! In your journey and ours, there comes a time when the difficulties of life, hurts, and pains are real and present. However, we are believers with an unshakable God who holds us in His hand no matter the circumstances. Our pains and sufferings are a part of the Journey to claim “Christ in All” and “In Christ” with our very actions. If you are not suffering then know it is coming and you need Jesus more than anything temporary to cover your wounds. It is with this said that I am grateful and in awe of the One True God who reigns and rules but displays mercy and tender words through His Holy Spirit in times of need. Our time is now to hear the comfort and blessed Saviors touch to get us through our issues and I pray you will do the same. I am so aware why the attacks are coming from our common adversary and sinful people…we live and breathe with the intention of doing God’s Will. Anytime you or I sell out to the Kingdom of God, then we are number one on the hit list so, know that our God is over all creation. Every thing that exists and is experienced is from the “Ancient of Days” the One who was, and is, and to come…He is God and no believer need to shrink back and be afraid. He is our Father and God forever! Nothing will ever separate us from Our God’s love…unconditionally set upon us.
