Easter 2009

Image Image

Yes, I realize it's May - but better late than never, right??

Easter this year was so much fun, since lil' Bella could actually participate in the egg hunt. She had a blast & acted like such a big girl!

Bella's graduated! (I'm a little behind in posting this..)

We had Bella's 18 month Ped appt on Dec. 22nd. Our pediatrician told us that since Bella was still making gains, we could take her off of formula - FINALLY!!!!! So she's been drinking her milk and water out of a sippy cup (or at least the one with the flip-top straw). She's not quite on whole milk - we've been mixing it with 2%. She still doesn't have very many teeth...about 5 on the bottom on 3 on the top. But man, is she an eater!! She puts away the food...where it goes, we don't know; because she looks as little as ever, but just with a bloated belly. She pretty much sleeps through the night, except for when she wets through her pjs. Any suggestions on that?? Should we stop giving her sippy cup to her at a certain point in the night before bed?

Wow...is it really the end of December??

OK...I have soooo been a bad, bad blogger! I can't believe it has been almost two months since my last post!! Bad Facebook, bad Facebook - I've totally been sucked in by their apps!! Anyway, I was tagged by my college pal Jimmie-Sue (who's a fellow FB junkie) to post my Christmas decor. So here goes....

This is the tree...unfortunately, you can't tell from the pic - but it SPINS (talk about easy to decorate!!). My Santa/reindeer/snowman collection lives under it!! Image

Here are some random decs...more of my snowman/Santa collection...Image Image

This is a giant stocking that Brady's Meemaw made-she made one for each of us, so we have them hanging on either side of our front door. She embroidered our names on the tops and used sequins for the ornaments. They are too cute!

And of course, I can't end this post without pics of our lil' Bella...

Halloween Deer Huntin'

Talk about the Grace of God protecting us! Friday night, we left Canton to drive to Houston for the weekend to see my family, since my little brother was home from Baghdad.

Well...we didn't quite make it there. We got stopped in Lufkin when a deer decided he wanted to tango with us. Brady's VW won and we escaped with minor body damage to the car, busted window/windshield & a few minor cuts...the deer however, wasn't so lucky.

I have to also give a shout-out to the inventor of tinted windows, if your car doesn't have them - I strongly urge you to get them done! (It saved Brady from serious injury!) This is definitely one of those situations, where you learn a lesson - please listen to that little voice when you're debating over a decision. Now we know that we'll be taking our big pickup on road trips & just have to swallow the fuel costs! I think I'll consider adding a dust buster, towels, and water bottles to our road trip packing list (in case we ever have to come in contact w/ glass shards again!). Below are some of the pics I took that night. Brady will be pulling out glass for weeks, maybe months. BTW, he starts Fire Academy Wed., Nov. 12th. So please pray we'll be able to figure out the car situation before then!
