About the challenge

IngeniumSTEM Hack4Life 1.0 is our fifth event hosted on Devpost to bring together innovators, creators, and problem-solvers passionate about using technology to improve education and drive social impact in the STEM community.

Launching on September 19th, our hackathon is open to developers of all skills, from beginners to experts. It’s an opportunity to learn new skills and transform ideas into meaningful projects.

Building on the success of our four previous hackathons, which in total collected over one thousand participants and awarded prizes given by our sponsors, this event will challenge you to solve real-world problems in areas that could be solved with programming and a bit of innovation.

Stay tuned for registration details and how you can shape our future through STEM!

Thank you to Damodhara to sponsoring our event!

Requirements

What to Build

Note: To ensure fair competition, all submissions must be created and finished within the official timeframe of the hackathon's submission period. Projects that are created outside of this timeframe will not be eligible for judging.

For IngeniumSTEM Hack4Life, participants are encouraged to create innovative and impactful projects that address quality of life challenges through STEM. Your project's aim is to make life easier, safer, healthier, or more sustainable.

Your project should include STEM principles to solve real-world problems and create a lasting impact on society.

Submission Guidelines:

For your submission to IngeniumSTEM Hack4Life, please ensure that you include the following:

  1. Github Repository
    • Share a link to your GitHub repository containing all the source code, documentation, and any other relevant materials. Ensure your code is well-documented to help judges understand your implementation.
    • Include a README file with a clear description of your project, the problem it addresses, the solution, and the impact it aims to make. Provide setup and usage instructions.
  2. Online Project Link:
    • If your project is deployed and available online, provide a link to the live project. Use platforms like Vercel, Heroku, GitHub Pages, or any other hosting service to make your project accessible for the judges to view and interact with.
  3. Submission Video or Presentation:
    • Unlike our other hackathons, you will be required to include a video (up to 3 minutes) or a presentation demonstrating your project. This video should walk through your project, highlighting its features, functionality, and user interface. Mention the technologies used and how it addresses improving the quality of life through STEM.
    • Upload the video to an online platform and include or embed a link in your submission to receive credit.

We can't wait to see how you use STEM in Hack4Life to make the world a better place!
