Crooks Bridge
Crooks Bridge, we only went to 11 bridges out of the 32 bridges in the area. This one we did not drive across. Most of them you can drive through.

But this one here is leaning a bit, it is hard to see but there is a cable from the bridge to the tree on the right. That is what is holding this one up. It leans just a tad.

Amazing craftsmanship goes into building these covered bridges. I had no idea they looked like this on the inside. They sure look sturdy enough with the heavy duty lumber.

I always love standing at this angle and looking through wooden bridges of this type. (Even more than driving through them.) Such special structures.
That’s quite a shot of the inside of the bridge Sandra – I wonder if they have to stain or waterproof the inside of the bridge against the elements to keep it in good condition. Interesting about the cable helping it out.
Amazing engineering considering when most were being built. And that they are still standing is a testament to their design. Great photos down the center, the geometry really shines through in this photo.
Those old wood bridges could tell so many stories. Beautiful picture,
nice!
