Back to school

All the boys are back in school. They were ready to see their friends but not so much the school work! All the boys are in different schools. Poor Lucas has to wait till high school to be with one of his brothers again and then it will be just one year together. Looking at all the upcoming events- our busy life isn't going to slow anytime soon. 

Noah is a freshman in high school this year! Man it makes me feel old. He will be playing football again this year! Go Vikings! He will also be in band and jazz band. He will be learning German and will have some honors classes to keep him challenged.

Eli is in 8th grade and hoping to enjoy his final year of Middleschool. He is in orchestra again but is thinking he won't be doing jazz band. Although Noah has been talking up to his jazz teacher since the high school is short a bass player. Hmmmm. Eli is continuing with French this year and has a couple honors classes to keep himself challenged too! 

Lucas is starting 5th grade. He is excited to still have one of his best friends in class again. Some how they have been in the same class since 1st grade. He is still taking guitar outside of school but is not sure if he is going to join any clubs or activities. His teachers does a lot of projects through out the year so it will be interesting to see what creative things Lucas can come up with. Summer seemed to fly by without a lot of blog updates but I will hopefully be able to keep you up to speed on what's going on with us!

Staycation day #3

We had plans with my brother's family today but a sick nephew caused plans to be rescheduled. Hoping Colin feels better soon!! So instead of an early morning- I let the boys sleep in. And of course all the boys wanted to know why we didn't get up early.

The boys wanted to get their back to school shopping. Doesn't Noah look happy to have more shopping to do.

After clothes now we need supplies! I am very thankful for all the time the boys and I got even if our original plans got rained out.

Staycation day #2

 The boys wanted to go to Worlds of Fun for our next family activity. It was a perfect day! Slightly overcast, not too hot and not too crowded. In fact Lucas and I were able to ride several rides twice while Noah and Eli were waiting for the ever so popular first car.

Lucas won this hat! They tried to guess his birth month and they guessed January. He wanted to have one like his brother. Eli still has his sombrero that he won at Worlds of Fun several years ago.

Lucas was driving Noah - this was the best pic I could get since Eli kept trying to talk to them which would cause our car to bump the track since he wasn't paying attention :/. We are all beat and ready to call it a day!

Staycation day #1

The boys and I were supposed to go on a vacation today to a ranch in the flint hills but unfortunately the recent rains have caused some flooding so we decided to do a staycation instead. Hopefully we will be able to go to the ranch next year as it looked very fun! We are needing some family time before school starts as this crazy busy summer has flown by. So the boys and I went to incred-i-bowl.

Laser tag the boys gained up on me but I got the highest score. The fact that I had three targets and they only had one is not lost on me but I will take my win!!!

On to mini golf.

The boys did several rounds through "the vault" which is a laser maze. I am thankful to know the boys do not make good bank robbers! :) After two more games of laser tag- we called it a night. Now for a movie marathon! Stay tuned for more pics to come!!!
