Meet my Family

This post is more for me than anything. I miss my family so much. As our families grow and we move apart from each other it gets harder and harder to see one another or to be all together.
Families are wonderful. When we get together it's like we were never apart. I love that.

My sisters.
They are such amazing women.
People tell me that we act the same, and talk the same, and have the same mannerisms, which I think is funny. We all look so different and have such different personalities, but it is so flattering to be compared to my sisters. They are truly amazing!

Image

I swear when we are together I laugh so much! Honestly my little sister Rose can make anything funny.
Image

Rosie Bud, is serving the Lord, and is half way done. There were a lot of broken hearts when she left, I'm sure there will be even more when she comes back.

Image

Chris (my brother in-law), he is HILARIOUS! Andrea- the most talented person I have ever met, Chickie- she is basically the most stylish 7 year old I know and so sweet, and Bentley-what a stud!
Image

My brother Sam-you can't have a party without Sam. He can make raking your yard fun. Buffy-such a knock out AND she cooks! My brother is a lucky man! Zeke- the kids a genius, Malachi-so FUNNY, Eli-Adorable, I mean look at those cheeks!

Image

My Parents.
Isn't my little Mexican Mama adorable. She gets cuter and cuter! My Dad is a spiritual giant among men! My parents are just good people. They are the best grandparents!

I am so blessed to come from a good family. Heavenly Father knew I would need that.
My parents and siblings helped and still help me be a better person.
I love them!

Happy Mother"s Day!

My Mother's Day was awesome! Preston made me some really yummy food, so I am going to share the cake recipe that he made me, with you.
It's kinda funny, but I have never put so many recipes on my blog before. I think it's because I'm pregnant and my life revolves around food.
For a split second I thought, "I don't want to give out this awesome recipe, then everyone will know how to make it."
But my mother always says that good things are made to be shared. That is the kind of woman she is, and the kind I aspire to be.
Oatmeal Sunrise Cake
(I begged my friend Danielle for this recipe. Preston talked and talked about it for forever after Danielle made it for us. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing. It is the BEST cake I have ever eaten...and that's the truth!)

Rainy, Snowy, Windy, Rainy, Snowy, Windy, etc.

Rainy, Snowy, Windy, every day of my life!
I hate this cursed, wretched, hateful place!
Preston said what I need is a blanket, popcorn, and a good movie.
I told him I needed a new address!
Rainy, Snowy, Windy, Rainy, Snowy Windy, AHHHHHHHH!

Peaches

Image

I canned tons and tons of Peaches last summer. I got so tired of making Peach Cobbler that I decided to rummage through Rose's cookbook that she left me while she is on her mission.

I found two recipes that I LOVE! So I will share them with you. You'll have to thank Rose for them later. They are so good.

Peach-Banana Smoothie-

1 medium banana, cut up
1 ripe medium peach, pitted, sliced
1 (6oz.)container raspberry yogurt
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tsp. honey
1 cup ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth and frothy.
I have one of these every morning. I'll be able to have a lot every morning. My Peaches are plentiful. Yum.

Waffles with Peach Berry Topping

Make waffles ahead of time. Any recipe will do.
3 peaches pitted, sliced
1/2tsp. rated lemon peel
1tbs. fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup blueberry syrup

This is so good and easy. You will want to swim in the syrup. It's to die for.

Ok, so random things. I have wanted a scooter forever. Our best friend Mike built one. It is so much fun. He took me for a ride and kind of showed me how to do it, and then I got to ride it by myself. It was so much fun.
Preston, won't let me ride it anymore, which is smart because I am pregnant and that is dangerous, but once the baby's born Mike said he would sell it to me. Yeah! I tried to convince him to give it to me with Pie. Didn't work.

Spring here is so crazy. We had two really awesome days of weather and now it's kind of been back and forth. What I've learned from living here is that it doesn't matter the weather. If you want to go outside, just go. Bundle up, do whatever you have to, or you'll be stuck inside. I think once you decide that, you enjoy living here a lot more.

I bought the boys helmets for the summer. Everett is learning how to ride a two wheeler. Lincoln wanted one just like his brother as well. They are so funny. They wrestle with them on, wear them to the grocery store, and while their eating breakfast. I don't know why I didn't buy them sooner, I think their helmets keep them safer when their not on bikes than when they are. Every mom with boys should invest in these at a young age.

After all, who wouldn't want to go to the grocery store with these two studs and their awesome Spider Man helmets?

Baby!

With this little guy I was sick for 6 months of my Pregnancy. I threw up at least 3 times a day. I remember thinking to myself, "I will NEVER do this again!"
But then the sickness passed, and I pigged out on chili cheese hot dogs for the rest of my pregnancy.
After having sweet little Everett I realized it was totally worth it, and yes I would do it again!

Image

With this little guy, I was sick for 2 weeks. I thought, "Hey, I can handle this. That was easy!"
Then I got Bell's Palsy that lasted over a year, and was, I might add, painful! I remember thinking to myself, "Sick I can do, but ugly...forget it! I am NEVER doing this again!"
But then cute, funny little Lincoln was born, and my ugliness faded (well most of it:), and I realized it was totally worth it, and yes I would do it again!

Image
Well, I'm doing it again! Yep, we are expecting our third little, cute, sweet, funny, baby. Ok, so you probably have two question, "What horrible thing has happened to you this time?" and "Why haven't I heard about this yet?"

Image
Well, I actually just really started telling people. I am 16 weeks along and we will find out what we are having April 22nd!
No horrible things have happened to me...YET, but do you ever feel like it's only a matter of time? I think I'm paranoid, but maybe I'm being blessed for having two really hard pregnancies.
Still pray for me! :)
So September 12th here we come! (Oh, that is when our baby is due)

Lincoln's 2!

I can't believe how quickly life passes you by.
Who would of thought that this little guy could have turned two so fast!

Image

I feel so blessed to be Lincoln's mother. He has brought so much joy and laughter to my life. I can't imagine life without him.
Image

It brings me so much happiness to watch my boys grow. They are my greatest treasures.
These boys were meant for each other right from the start.
Everett has such a calming effect on Lincoln (which that little rascal needs) and Lincoln gives Everett adventure. They need one another, and are better people with each other.
Image

Lincoln is so much like Preston. I like to think that Lincoln looks like me though. :)

Image

Tuesday, March 9th, was a GREAT DAY! We celebrated it right. We had TONS of food.

We started off the morning with crescent rolls stuffed with cream cheese and sausage. Lincoln's favorite. For lunch we ate hot dogs and for dinner pancakes with bacon. Needless to say we were all a little porked out by then. But the Birthday boy picked his meals. He loves pork! My kind of man. :)
Image

That night we opened up presents, ate cake, and played together. It was a great day.
Here is Lincoln with the Diego backpack I made him. He wears it everywhere, even to bed.
I'm so happy he likes it.
Image

And here is the Birthday boy with his awesome Transformer cake. I didn't make it. My friend Tiffany did. It was so cool looking and so yummy! We ate if for days...literally. So if the Lees family is looking a little portly that's because we have seriously chowed down these last couple of days.
Image
What a joy Lincoln is! We love him more than words can say. :) Happy Birthday Lincoln!

My Computer is Fixed!!!

Yay! I'm so excited. Now I can blog and check my email. It is soooo great!
So a lot of fun things have been going on in our house. This Winter has not been bad at all. I can't believe it is already March! How time flies.
So for news updates.
Preston has become a Volunteer Fire Fighter, which I thought was pretty cool and heroic of him at first and now I just kind of feel freaked out. He comes home after Fire Fighter class telling me about all the ways he could die and I'm starting to wonder if I really like this idea.
But he is smart and strong and will be fine...I hope. :)
So I am doing an Independent Study on how to Become a Dog Trainer. Cool huh! I already have two clients and am learning so much. I LOVE it! I LOVE it! I LOVE it!
I love dogs and I love helping people enjoy their dogs so it is perfect for me.
On to news with the boys. Lincoln is such a Ham. His birthday is next Tuesday and I can't believe he will be Two! He is getting so good at talking. His favorite word is "What?!", which he says all the time. He also calls Everett, "Eby". It's so cute!

Image
Ok, so Lincoln LOVES Boots! He wears these Spiderman Boots Everywhere! They are Everett's but Lincoln loves them. He wears them while he eats breakfast, when we go to the store, to gymnastics, and even to church.

Image

Lincoln is so different from Everett. He loves Hats, Transformers, Backpacks, and Kung Fu. :)
Image

Oh, and drawing on our walls. I have invested in soooo many Magic Erasers. I find new drawings almost everyday. I think he stashes crayons somewhere.

Image
Everett is just the same sweet kid he always is, and is sooo stinkin' smart. He told me that if he was going to save animals he had to know where they lived. So for Christmas I got him a map. He now knows every continent in the world and lots of countries. Do you know where Borneo is? Well, Everett does, because that is where Orangutans live.

Image
Everett got gum in his eyebrows. My mom used to put Peanut Butter in our hair to get gum out. So I figured it would work for Eye brows. It was so funny! We couldn't stop laughing.
But hey, it worked!

Yeah, you could have told me sooner. What a week. Hope yours has been better.
