My Birthday...

Ok, so I have been a little lazy on the blogging front, but there has been so much to do!

We celebrated my birthday this weekend with a little get together. I have been told that 26 is the new 25. I hope so! Although, I wish it was the new 21...

Sooo Close...

10 days out and I can't wait. My appliances and lights are all in and I have electricity. From what I can tell, all that is really left is the carpet, hardwoods, and clean up! You can see my paint colors a little better with the lights on.

It's all happening...

Sooo.... after the longest week ever, I have some exciting pics to post. I stopped by my house today and it is really a house! I have sod, and a fence, and landscaping, and cabinets, and paint, and granite, and tile, and appliances (even though they are not installed yet). Only 2 weeks to go! Yippee!

There are also a couple of pics of my new funiture. I did NOT pay $287 for the chair at Hanks FYI... I am a bargain shopper. I am getting a few pieces from Cajun Brothers Furniture in Conway. They can order all kinds of stuff (Ashley's, Riverside, etc) at a huge discount. http://www.cajunbrothersfurniture.com/

Here we go...

So... at the prodding of my friends who are all avid bloggers, here I go.

A little about me:

Grew up in NORTH Little Rock, AR where my parents and brother currently live. Love y'all!!! I went to Mount St. Mary's and then on to the University of Arkansas, where I had the most amazing college experience.

I work for Newell Rubbermaid selling writing instruments to Wal-Mart (Sharpie, uni-ball, Expo, Paper Mate, and Parker are all our brands)... I love it. Not very many people get to enjoy their job and the people they work with as much as I do. I am thankful for this blessing everyday, and even more these days as I hear so many stories of lay-offs around the country.

I have the most amazing friends and family. They are always fun and wonderfully supportive. I also have a pretty great boyfriend, Christopher (even though he is a Bama fan), and the best little dog ever, Gatsby.

My latest project is building my first house. I am constantly asking myself, "Is this really mine???" I will soon have a mortgage to prove it. I close on 12/5 and I am getting super excited. Lately, I have been on the search for furniture and bargains to fill it up. See the progress in the pics attached... Enjoy!
