Jumping Bean

Today it was time to vacuum the couch. While all the pillows and cushions were off, LB decided to lounge on them and then decided it would be great fun to jump onto the huge pile. She had a great time and got some pretty good air. Sadie and Sylvester thought the pillows looked comfy and were in for some surprises as LB cam crashing down by them.

Baltimore Break

This past weekend we took a short trip to Baltimore. We drove on Wednesday night and got in really late. In the morning, Caleb and Little Bird headed out to explore the city, while Camberly headed to class.

They found a really neat park just a few blocks away from the hotel. It had a tunnel through the trees, enormous xylophones to play, and fun sculptures to climb on. At lunch, they showed Camberly what they had found before it was time to head back to class and naps.

At the park, LB met some new friends and she got to explore a light house. For dinner, Caleb wanted to make sure he got some good seafood, so they headed to Riptide and he got some delicious scallops.

After dinner we meandered back to the hotel along all the piers. It was a beautiful evening.

 Friday morning, we all headed to Port Discovery (children's museum). Little Bird had a fun time exploring and trying to meet some new kids. She really liked the little diner and playing with the dishes and food. There were a couple school groups there so it was really busy but she had fun.

After lunch it was time for Camberly to head back to class while Caleb and LB napped and then headed back to the park.

After a quick dinner at LB's favorite place ("potle"), we headed to the National Aquarium.

All the fish and sharks were so cool to see in the reef section. We made it to the last few minutes of the dolphin show and saw a bunch of jelly fish. In the rainforest area, as everyone else was looking at the sloth up in the tree, LB found a cockroach scurrying across the ground (yuck).

 By the end, LB was tired of all the fish and was most entertained by all the escalators and hanging off the railings. She did a great job all day.

One part at the aquarium let people put in what they like about water/marine life and put it up on a big screen. But the touch screen was very slow to respond and so it ended up not putting what you had meant for it to. Thus Caleb's said "I eat my sharks" and Camberly's said "Enjoy coral health for life."

Saturday morning was time for one last class and some time in the park. Then it was into the car for a long drive home, punctuated by many, many potty breaks. It was  a fun trip, but as always it was nice to be home.

Easter

We had beautiful weather for Easter this year. LB had fun with her eggs and basket outside and made sure Big Babies were out there to watch her spin "like a ballerina."

Her Easter basket wasn't hard to find. But when she looked behind the curtain, she was more interested in looking out the window and didn't even notice the basket on the floor.

We were glad to be able to share one last Easter lamb feast with the Sheltons. The kids had a great time playing outside while dinner prep was underway. We were all to busy enjoying the food to get any meal pictures this year. It was a wonderful way to spend the holiday.

Happy Birthday Little Bird!!

It is hard to believe that Little Bird is two years old. She had a great day of celebration that started by going to the zoo with Grandma and Daddy.

Then in the evening some friends came over for some grilling and fun.

LB got a lot of fun new toys, including a fun new kitchen. It is so fun to open and close all the doors and play with the sink.

Next was cake. LB has been fascinated with ladybugs lately so we made that the cake. She thought it was cute, cute.

We ended the busy day with Facetime birthday wishes from Poppy, Oma, and Popeye. Such a big girl and so much fun.
