From time to time I get a wild hair and decide that I’m going to clip coupons. Usually I clip from one Sunday paper and give up. Well, this time I’m a little more serious. As most people have, we’ve seen our grocery bills gradually creep up as various prices are impacted by the high cost of transportation. I don’t have lofty couponing goals. All I want is to get our bills back to what they used to be. So, I started reading some couponing blogs and started trying to figure out how people make this work. And as a little bit of motivation, I took a couple deals that I found in one of the blogs and tested it out today.
Using the tips from here:

and here:

I got the following at Walgreens today:
Got2Be Smooth Operator Smoothing Hairspray (regular price $5.99)
Got2Be Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion (regular price $5.99)
Schick Hydro 5 Razor w/ 2 Cartridges (regular price $9.99)
Schick Hydro 5 Razor w/ 2 Cartridges (regular price $9.99)
I got all of that (regular price total 31.96 not including tax) for $11.97 including tax. Plus, I got a $5 coupon at the register good for any future Walgreens purchase.
Holy crap this might take a bit of work but it might be worth it. Scoping some blogs I already found that Nivea Body Wash goes on sale at Target on Sunday for $3.04, plus there will be a manufacturer’s coupon in the paper for $3 off, meaning you can get it for $.04!!! That’s the exact body wash I have in the shower right now.
