"Happy Birfday to me, Pencer"

That's what he was singing throughout the day yesterday. His birthday was yesterday and so I asked him if he'd give me a nice birthday face and he did!

ImageWe took him out to the Spaghetti Factory for lunch. It was nice because we got 2 free kids meals from going to a Bee's game. Spence is always asking if we can eat at a "daunt daunt" (resturant). We haven't ever been there as a family and we got to eat in an old trolley car. He was pretty excited!
ImageThe presents! For the record when he saw the black and white one he knew right away that it was a skateboard and exclaimed, "This is a skateboard!" He's been riding it all day.

Mark and Summer got him a golf set. He was so excited to use it right away, after we opened it he began using the club like a baseball bat. Mark taught him how to putt.

He also got a toolbox and workbench. His favorite tool is the pliers that he uses to grab things and pick them up. He won't go to sleep at night until he has his pliers!

He's truely 3 and I'm feeling a little unprepared. We had 2 parties for him one with each side of the family. We played some minute to win it games, had fruit pizza and ball cupcakes, did a baseball pinata and opened presents, which he loves! This party's at my grandparents place.

Spencer's grandparents trying to throw the balls into the bucket...it was very entertaining to watch because someone always got hit with the balls. Spencer wore this party hat for a few hrs until his head got super hot. I'm glad he wanted to wear it since asked for it at the $ store.

The crew of cousins and uncle and aunt. Love that pose Mia! Kyle and I made that pinata and it held up for everyone to take a whack at it 3 times! Even my teenage brothers couldn't break it. It was more durable than any of us expected. Paper Mache is strong I guess! Luckily, my Aunt had an aluminum bat in her trunk and once Kyle hit the pinata that put a small rip in it. Sam age 15 (pictured below) made some candy come out, and Michael 19 (just got his mission call to concepcion, Chile)finished the job!

Thanks everyone for coming and getting him very tasteful gifts! He has had millions of minutes of fun so far with more to come...
