Valentine's Day

I LOVE HOLIDAYS!!!
No matter how little or big the "Holiday".
Valentine's is one I love sharing with my family. I love the Date that Jess and I get to go on, but since we have had the littles it is more about the LoVe we have for them.  I am sure others out there do the same, but Jess and I got up early to make the kids their special breakfast.

This year, heart shaped french toast with boysenberry syrup, hugs and kisses sausage, an egg, and the kids favorite strawberry milk.
It is always fun trying to come up with new little ideas for their meal, it's also nice having an alternative to the sugar rush they get the rest of the week.

The boys loved making their valentine boxes and and the valentines they took this year to share with their classes. A special thanks to pinterest and all the crafty people that post things, so I can attempt to be an AWESOME MOM!

I even played around with Shaylee's hair.  She loved her "Heart" and showed everyone she knew!  I can clearly use a little practice, but it was fun to do!

Hope You All felt the Love this Valentine's Day! XOXOXO

My Disclaimer!

Clearly I haven't flooded you with posts to catch up on life, but as I scanned through my computer I found that the pictures I have been wanting to post are on my old computer that has since passed on!  So sad!!   Jess and I thought that we had downloaded all the pictures onto our external hard drive about a month before the screen went black.
So until I can get my computer fixed I am going to just start with Here and Now with the pictures I do have. Most of them will just be moments and in no special order (because that is how my brain works lately)

A Change In The Weather Says I!

I have wondered for years why I ever let my guard down and let life get so busy that I failed to record the last several years.  Though they have been fun, full of ups and down, new beginnings and sad ending.  My kids will forget all the memories and because of the lack of management with my time I have allowed those moments to slip away.
My goal for the upcoming year is to "Catch UP" not that I can remember it all, but for the pictures I do have and the memories that I can remember that go with those pictures i'll be putting them on the blog to print and have the memories for my children.  They may not even care, or maybe they will!?
My future is changing!! I am making that change to better, not only my future, but my families as well.
It might be an overload on post so if you are following my blog I am sorry in advance, but hope you enjoy the ride!

"The Update"

OK, so things in life have been somewhat normal just haven't had the drive to blog. The internet has also been a factor, you kind of have to have it to use the internet. The last time I blog it was when Shaylee was just a couple months old and Sheridy wanted to make my blog a Christmas present so I had to update everything in a couple of days and I think that's when the burn out came.

Shaylee is doing really good....she is almost 2 now and is finally starting to talk. We were worry there for awhile that she had some hearing problems, but after getting everything checked out we found that she is just stubborn :) Hopefully it is just a phase! Everyone tried to tell me not to worry about her, but I was comparing her mile stones to her brothers who walked and talked at 10 to 12 months. I really enjoy hearing her talk now and can't believe how quickly her 10 words turned into 20 then 30 and so on. She still wont say "please" but other then that she can tell you what she wants.

Weston is enjoying life and is so glad he gets to go to school now. His best friend got to go last year and it was kind of painful for him. He love riding the bus and told me after about 2 weeks that he could walk to the stop by himself and that I could just stay home. I wasn't really ready for that, but I told him if he felt he could do it to let me know ( so it's my own fault ). He is going to be getting some glasses at the end of the month and is excited to wear them. He does look pretty handsome with them on, but I think he isn't going t like them for very long. He had been having some headaches so Jess and I thought it would be best to have his vision checked, the Dr. said it's normal and kids can grow out of it. For now he only has to wear them to school and when he reads at home.

Damon has grown up so much since Weston has started school. He is always wanting to help Shaylee and invites her to do everything with him, that is until Weston gets home :) I was kind of nervous to see how he would handle being the big brother, but he has taken the role and done every well with it. He is trying really hard to ride a bike without the training wheels. However, to his dismay and the fear he has of falling it is a slow moving goal. He loves doing his "homework" when Shaylee is napping and Weston isn't home yet, that is part his "down time". Which is the only time of the day that he slows down long enough to have me catch up with him. He looks forward to being big enough to go to school with Weston but I can't believe that he will be starting school next year!

I'm not really a huge fan of how quickly they all grow up.

Hopefully I can keep up on the happenings we have from here on out.  I'm not promising anything, but for journaling purposes I hope I wont just let 2 years slide by again!
