Our First Holiday Season Together

Thanksgiving was the first holiday and seeing both families was very nice. Jer ended up getting into a chubby bunny competition with my brother Jordan and his cheeks just couldn't hold up. We then finished up with a friendly game of twister which we both failed miserably at. I also got to have my first real die-hard Black Friday shopping experience with the Bath gals. Basically I slept two hours in two days. My booty... a $20 6ft Christmas Tree that Jer actually ended up helping me decorate =)

Our 1 month anniversary was next and to celebrate we ate a delicious and overly filling dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Since it was snowing after we just cuddled up together at home and watched a movie. Man I LOVE being married to Jaron! He is the highlight of my everyday and treats me like gold. It's been interesting arguing, pushing boundaries and learning each other but at the end of every single day it's very rewarding to say I Love You ,Goodnight XoxO to my Eternal Companion. I am so grateful that the Lord blessed us with each other.

There have been quite a few family/friends Birthdays to celebrate and for one of them we got to make a cheesy cauliflower dish that tasted great but I cut myself pretty badly in the process, after ignoring Jer's warnings but surprisingly no blood got on the food. Jaron superglued me all better though so I didn't have to get stitches, hooray THANK YOU! It's now 1 week later and its all healed up without a nasty scar.

Merry Christmas! Yes indeedy it was for us. We got to sleep at Jer's parents, a rather family tradition, where I got my first set of Pj's. We spoiled each other rotten as well as his parents with jewelry, desks, boots, cooking equipment, coats and so much more. Jaron sure does know my taste and it was very impressive. We ate a wonderful breakfast with his parents then went home to get ready for our long day of traveling. We got to the Drage Grandparents enjoyed festivities, laughed lots at the Bath Grandparents, exchanged sibling gifts and gave parent gifts at the Bath parents, exchanged sibling gifts and gave parent gifts at the Drage parents, went back to the Bath parents and finally got home to sleep in our most AMAZING Select Comfort bed that has caused us to become bed snobs. =D

New Years Eve is tomorrow and were looking forward to the time off work, seeing family/friends and cleaning out our very messy back room. Anyone have resolutions? Love you all and see ya soon.

Only 5 More Days!!!

I swear our wedding day could not come soon enough. It's like every day is Christmas Eve but then I wake up and Christmas isn't here yet. I have been so excited for over a week now and it just keeps building up more and more every day. I get to go to the Temple tomorrow so that makes me even more anxious. Thank you to everyone that is so diligently helping us execute all the plans we have made. We love you!

Bridal/Wedding Showers

SO FUN!!! I have to admit Bridal Showers are what have made "getting married" seem real. All the planning is fun but you don't see many results at first, learning new ways to communicate with the same people is lots of work but the showers are what make it feel so real. The amount of support from family old/new and friends that I didn't really realize I had was totally wonderful! Major thank you to all the lovely ladies that worked so hard to throw me such exciting showers! Love you all =)
P.S. Sorry I don't have a picture from the EK Famliy Shower but they are on Face Book.
P.P.S. Jaron is a gift Nazi and will not let me use anything! =D

Engagament Story

So I had been eagerly awaiting for Jaron to propose for weeks but when I least expected it he asked. He had also been fake proposing to me all the while so when it was the for reals time I was  rather uncertain. It was Thursday night September 10th and we had just finished running wedding planning errands when we found ourselves in the avenues with an amazing view of the Salt Lake Temple. As we were admiring it Jer suggested we go walk around Temple Square since it was such a nice night. I agreed and we made our way there on foot enjoying the wonderful weather and conversation. As we approached the reflection pond I got an excited feeling/thought that maybe tonight was the night. I quickly dismissed the thought for fear of getting my hopes up. We sat at the pond talking when he started playing with the white pearl ring that I had on and said how perfect this night would be if he only had the ring. He then suggested he us the one already on my finger but I shot that idea down immediately. He then said well maybe I don't need your ring as he reached into his pocket. I started giggling in excitement as he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I giggled some more then replied with a "Yes, YES of course!". He then proceeded to put the ring on my right hand. =D Not only did he give me the most beautiful black pearl engagement ring but earrings and a second ring to go along with it. I then called Jilly, texted others and took some pictures like most girls do at a time like that. We finished walking around the Temple, I told all the people we walked by that we just got engaged and that Jaron was my fiance. He got a bit embarrassed but I just had to tell the world. Thank you Jer, for it couldn't of been in a better time or place because the spirit was with us and made everything PERFECT!!! I can't wait to spend eternity with you. XOXO

How It All Started

One day just over two years ago I went to church choir practice and there I meet the most amazing gal in the whole world Jillian Bath. A few months went by without seeing each other but when we meet up again to preform as a Choir for Stake Conference we became the very best of friends and have been ever since. This wonderful woman has lead me to my fiance, her brother, Jaron Bath. Jer and I showed obvious interest in each other December of '08, started dating February of '09 and exclusively dating since July '09.
