Happy Halloween!!

This year we were able to go to the Peden's neighborhood to trick-or-treat. It was a really pleasant, but chilly night. The girls had such a great time gathering candy with their sweet friends. We enjoyed watching them trick-or-treat with a group of kids. Their neighborhood had many more opportunities, and we were able to really go for about an hour. Thank you Pedens for letting us come!!

I'm not sure if Clare was hungry or nervous ... she snacked on a PB&J sandwich then a bag of cheetos for the first bit. Must have given her some energy ... she was leading the pack in no time!

Halloween Eve

Clare had her Halloween Party at Sissy's today ... she's been hard on ol' Rainbow Dash, so we opted for Minnie Mouse today in an attempt to keep the other in tact. Look at that sweet new baby -- Clare told me that Baby Brooks was the hungwee catapillrr. 

Tonight we carved a pumpkin .. They were excited at first, but quickly lost interest in the actual lloonngg process of carving the blessed thing. Lila picked a Rapunzel pattern, so we gave it a go. I looked at the picture and drew it out with a pencil, then carved it. It.took.forever.and.ever. This ol' pregnant gal was pretty sore by the time I got off that hard kitchen floor!

Turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself!

Halloween Festivities: Part 2

Wednesday night was the annual Trunk-or-Treat at our church. The girls probably got more candy here than they will actually trick-or-treating Friday night!! I bet they made 4 rounds around that parking lot ... their buckets were totally full!!

Halloween Festivities: Part 1

The girls were invited to a Jack O'Lantern Jubiliee at their cousins', Raleigh and Rivers, house Sunday night. They had good food, stations with games to play, candy, playing, and pumpkin carving. It was a great get together, and the girls had the best time!! The best way to start a busy and exhausting Halloween week!!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We headed to the Farmer and the Dell Pumpkin Patch this morning. Lila hadn't picked a pumpkin out yet this year, so we decided this would be a great morning to go. I have to say, I enjoyed this patch. It was laid back, and we were able to just wander around and do as we please. They also had a big sunflower garden which was really pretty. We had a really great time!!
