9 Month Stats

Ivey had her 9 month check up this afternoon -- 2 shots later, we were home and she was in bed by 7.
She weighed in at 19.8 lbs. and was 27 inches long. Comparably, she's about the same weight as Lila and Clare at 9 months, but she's a tad bit shorter. I'm sure that's what makes her appear a little chunkier. I love her squishy little rolls though, so I'm not complaining!

Ivey is 9 Months Old!

This sweet girl is 9 months old today! What a joy she is!!
She still eats on the same schedule as she did at 8 months. This baby is scheduled, and she knows when it's time to eat! She usually fusses when she's done with her bottle or realizes your not about to shovel more food in her mouth. She likes cheerios and puffs, and has tried green beans and blueberries this month too.
She still struggles with spit up, but I do think that it is getting somewhat better.
She takes two good naps a day, but it wouldn't hurt her to catnap a third time around 4:30. She still goes to bed about 7 and wakes about 7 as well. She's a great sleeper (and I am thankful!).
She is still a paci baby -- in fact, I found 5 behind her bed this afternoon. I was wondering where they all got to!
She doesn't play well on her own. She much prefers to be held, and if she's on the floor, then she wants someone with her. She is getting a little bit better, but it's a struggle.
She adores her sisters -- they play and fuss over her too. Lila does the most on the taking care of her side. Clare really likes to aggravate her.
She has the two teeth on the bottom. We think she might be cutting one of her top ones, but it's not through yet.
She is always smiling or giggling. Her giggles are infectious, and they make you want to act like a goon to keep them coming.
We love this little angel! I can hardly believe 9 months have passed!

Lila's Big 7th Birthday!!

Happy 7th Birthday to my Lilabug! I can hardly believe that 7 years have passed since that crazy night she was born. She is incredibly smart, beautiful, helpful, loving, and kind. She goes into everyday with the best of intentions, and I love her little heart.
This year we decided to not have a big party. Lila decided to have her ears pierced, and we went to the American Girl Doll Store in Atlanta as a family. Last night, we took Lila and her friend, Emory, to Laredo's for dinner. Afterwards, we went to the mall to Claire's, and Lila got her ears pierced. We had talked a lot about doing this, and I was super proud of how well she handled herself. She gave a little ouch and that was it! She loves her earrings and looks like such a big girl!

We celebrated this morning with cupcakes and candles. She loved her cards and animals from her sisters.

We had a blast in Atlanta at the American Girl Doll Store. It WAS the most chaotic and crowded store, but it was worth for Lila to enjoy her day. Thanks to some loving grandparents, Lila was able to get the doll she's had her eye on, Julie. She even got Julie's ears pierced too! We had a great lunch in their Bistro complete with chairs for the dolls and cake for the birthday girl!

Happy 7th Birthday to our big girl! We love you and are so proud of you!

Ivey's Baby Dedication

We dedicated Ivey at church last Sunday. The church usually dedicates all the babies born in the previous year, but Ivey was the only one born! It was a sweet time where the church prayed over her and us as her parents. We appreciate our church, and are thankful to be part of a family that is so supportive. We love this sweet girl!
