Stapleton Family
First Day of School
What handsome second graders. Their Spanish teacher speaks Spanish 100% of the time this year, so half of their day will be Spanish.

July
I purchased a Visit Salt Lake Pass that had lots of tourist things to do in the Salt Lake area and one of the ropes courses at the Olympic Training Center in Park City was one of them. It was certainly more safe and supervised than the Klettervalt in Germany, but still a cool challenge for the boys. It took some convincing, but they did the entire course.
After the course we watched the USA vs Belgium World Cup game at the Salt Palace. The game was intense and so were the boys.
Beautiful Fourth of July Princess
Our daughter looks like a cabbage patch doll. Dan was not a fan of this hat.

The boys did a week long climbing camp at The Quarry. After lunch they did a bigger challenge, either rappelling or the King Swing. The instructors couldn't get them do to it so I asked if I could come. I had to talk them into doing it for nearly 45 minutes and then I literally threw them over the edge. After his initial screaming Seth called out "This is actually kind of fun!"
They were much more confident at the rappelling. I did come help for that as well. Luckily I didn't have to throw them over.
We had a second Park City fun day and did the Alpine Slide and Roller Coaster. It was more crowded than in the past, but still a fun time.
I ventured out by myself to Albion Basin up Little Cottonwood Canyon because I really wanted to see the flowers in bloom. It was a Saturday so there were a ton of people, but we made it up to Secret Lake. Claire even seemed to enjoy it.
I think she felt a little squished, but she was able to take a nap in this position.
More June
Claire trying rice cereal for the first time.
We went to Red Butte Gardens. I wish I'd taken better pictures of their Children's Garden; it was fabulously whimsical. They are walking through the tail of a giant snake in this shot.
I don't much care for desert landscapes, but this was phenomenal.
What is now turning into an annual tradition, Dan took the boys backpacking overnight with our friend Nate and his son Vince.
Every summer REAL Salt Lake puts on a free soccer clinic. The boys got an autograph from Sandoval.
June
The boys took an art summer camp class. They're using acrylics in this picture.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Claire.
We rode TRAX downtown for lunch for our third annual Father's Day lunch with Grandpa Ogilvie
The boys get crazy excited about miniature golf, they also crazy cheat when playing.
We went to the Tracy Aviary with our friends the Lindsays. I learned a lot about pelicans and was amazed at the improvements since I was a kid.
Brad loving his sister
We went on a hike with some friends to a waterfall on the way up Mount Timpanogous.
All clean after bath time
Dan went backpacking with the Deacons in Escalante. I went to bed at 9:00 while he was gone.
