Bubbles

ImageI love bubbles. The kids in nursery love bubbles. Apparently my kitchen floor also loves bubbles. I walked into my kitchen to put away a kitchen towel and noticed my floor was covered in bubbles. I had started the dishwasher about 30 minutes prior so the suds had been mulling for a while before they started gushing onto my needing to be cleaned kitchen floor. I actually looked at the situation and smiled. My floor, under the dishwasher was being cleaned! I am so excited about that. Now everthing is clean. Happy Wednesday to me.

In Love

Well folks, it's happened. I am in love. Sorry Jay, but it's not you. I would like to thank Katelyns Mom for introducing us. We have spent every night together since we first met and I can't get enough of it. I happened to introduce my family to it and they insisted on it joining us each night as well. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful hot fudge. I am concerned it may turn on me one day and stay with me more than I would like, especially around my hips, but for the time being we could spend every waking moment together.Image

Thanksgiving Week in Review

ImageWhat a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I was able to spend time with my husband and my family, two things I can never get enough of. Greg and Britt finally had their so my parents came to spend time with their new beautiful granddaughter. My dad snuck away a few times to go visit Anilyn claiming he was getting WD40 for my squeeky door. I put up my Christmas Tree and decorations (finally! I've been ready since Halloween). I love this time of year, everyone is so nice and chipper.

ImageWhile my family was here we made a trip down to Lewiston to look at the lights. My mom LOVES Christmas lights and her favorite thing to do is drive around looking at them. She was in awe of the lights at Locomotive Park.
We spent Thanksgiving with the Rigby's this year. It was a blast. We ate dinner at 2 when the turkey was supposed to be done, but the turkey didn't join us until 5. I actually have decided this is the best way to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. We ate tons at 2, had pie at 3, had turkey and stuffing at 5. I never felt over stuffed and I was able to enjoy all my favorites. We played lots of games and I somehow Steve and I tied in Dominoes. He cheats though, so really I won.

ImageMy favorite part of the week was Black Friday. I love shopping and somehow getting up at 3:30 a.m. doesn't bother me this one day a year. I wasn't that impressed with the ads this year, but that didn't stop me from standing in freezing cold lines waiting to get in the stores. I don't think Jay would have married me if he would have known what he was getting into.

Baby Anilyn

Image
After 9 long, miserable months Greg and Britt finally had their baby. I just wanted the little baby to come out and play with her aunt Camille but Britt insisted that she "wasn't done yet". On Wednesday afternoon she was finally done. I am a very proud aunt of two beautiful little girls, Evelyn and Anilyn. I wish Evelyn were closer so I could play with her, but at least I have one little girl to love.

Tribute to the Foutches

I would just like to make a tribute to the Foutches. They introduced us to the most amazing show, Psych. It is 11:16 p.m., way past my bedtime. I am usually asleep, not just in bed, but asleep by 10 p.m. But tonight, I am still awake, all because of Psych. We love it. Might be a little bit addicted, but hey, at least it's a good show :)

Frisbee Golf

Image Image
Lately my wonderful husband has been playing frisbee golf with one of our friends, Brian. Last night I told him he had to take the camera with him and take pictures so I could scrapbook them. He looked at me like I had grown a third head. Apparently he doesn't understand how important scrapbooking is and why I need documentation of everything. I figure that it's become a part of his life and we need to have it recorded for our kids. So he reluctantly took the camera with him. He may look like he is picking his nose or eating a sucker, but I believe he is licking his finger to check the direction of the wind. What a geek! Thanks for entertaining him Brian!

Fall Frenzy

Image
Last Sunday we convinced my best friend (next to my Mom) to take our pictures for our family Christmas cards. Some of you may be thinking "What?! She doesn't have them done yet?" while others are thinking "Girl, it's only the first of November, you have at least a month before you need to be thinking about this." Well, for those of you who are thinking I'm behind, they are done. I just need to address the envelopes and wait until December to mail them out. For those of you are thinking I can wait, I am waiting until December 1. I love holidays.
Well, Thanksgiving is alright, but I LOVE Christmas. I love the feeling of Christmas, I love the decorations and gift giving. But what I love most is decorating tImagehe tree. Weird, yes, but then I can start wrapping presents and putting them under the tree and oh, it just gives me chills. Last year my roommate, Morgan, made me wait until after Halloween to put up my tree, which would mean if she still lived here, I would be putting it up right now. My my new roommate, Jay, aka my husband, tells me "No"! Can you believe it?! He won't let me put my tree up until after Thanksgiving. I don't understand. The mall is already decorated for Christmas, why can't my house? Needless to say we had to come to a compromise. So right after Thanksgiving dinner I get to put up my tree. :)
Image
Anyhow, we took our family pictures which ended up in a leaf fight. But hey, we had fun. You will be seeing some of these pictures in the Christmas card yet to come. Check your postal boxes on December 3 for the first installment of the Rigby Family Christmas Card.

No Crickets Allowed!

Image
This past week I have found more crickets in my home then I have ever seen in my entire life. I hate crickets. They are black and creepy looking, plus they make a chirping noise just as you are getting ready to fall asleep. This summer we had one sitting right outside our window that would chirp and chirp to his hearts content. I tried being optimistic about it and named him Ricky. I would nicely ask Ricky to stop chirping so I could sleep and occassionally he would actually concede. This past week I think Ricky has decided since he has a name, he has a home and has invited all his relatives and friends in to live as well.
Image
Poor Jay gets home from work and there are upside down glasses with little cricket bugs under them, all over our house. His job is to get rid of the crickets. Jay even found one on me one night. I am not sure what to do, but I have to get the message across that crickets are not allowed in my home.

Wonderful Weekends

What a wonderful weekend! This weekend we had the opportunity to spend some much needed time together. I love my husband and he loves me. Oh puke gag. On Friday night we went to our wonderful friends (The Foutch's) and had dinner with them. Unfortunatly Katelyn has shown my husband what wifes are supposed to do, which is be creative and make amazing meals. She made a wonderful soup, that I have had as left overs twice now and rolls. I can't wait to try both these recipes out on my own soon.

Bryan and Katelyn then went to a movie and left us in charge of their adorable little gImageirls, Lauryn and Brooklyn. We watched "Meet the Robinsons" a very cute and funny movie about inventions and the future with a little tie in to how wonderful families are. After trying to put Lauryn to bed Jay, Brooklyn (she is only 6 weeks) and I watched Psych". Which is possibly my new favorite show. It is about a guy who notices everything through paying attention to detail and solves crimes through this. However, the police won't listen to him so he claims he is psychic. It's hilarious. Once Bryan and Katelyn came home we shared a rousing game of pictionary where the girls totally creamed the guys. (This is my story and I well tell it how I want.) Check out Katelyn's blog for pictures of Jay's incredible Popemobile.

On Saturday I was able to convince my husband to take me to dinner. NoboImagedy warned me that after we were married the dating would no longer exist. But I was finally able to trick him. I made him put on a pretty shirt and we headed out. We first had to stop at Bed Bath and Beyond for a heating pad, I am expirmenting to see what tricks might make my gall bladder feel better. So far, I got nothing. Anyhow, we got heating pad and headed to dinner. The Nectar is my new favorite restraunt. They catered an event we had at the hospital a few weeks back and Jay and I finally made it in for dinner. If you have not been there, I would recommend going. I have never had anything so good.

Today we went to Church and had a wonderful Sacrament meeting by the Primary children and I was sustained to the Nursery, the best calling in the Church. After church we started drying bananas in our newly acquired fruit dehydrator. I am so excited to have fresh dried fruit.

One, Two, Three NOT IT!

Image
Woot Woot! I've been Officially Tagged! Thanks, Kate!
The rules are:
1. Add a link to your tagger (live lovely) and post these rules,
2. Facts about me: some random, some weird ... all devastatingly interesting.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of my post and list their names (linking to them)
4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs...So here goes:

1: My most embarrassing moment:
While I was reporting in Idaho Falls I had the most embarrassing blonde moment. I was doing a story in Rigby, ID at the National Guard when I realized I locked my keys in the station car. I went to call my father to come help (I had done this many times with my own car so we happend to have a slim jim) when I realized my phone and the station phone were both sitting in the car. The locked car. I went in and asked if I could use the Commanders phone and he graciously let me. For some reason every time I tried calling out I would reach the head honcho dude in Boise. So the military guys all figured they could help me out. So out in front of the Local News 8 car 4 Army guys, in full uniform, tried breaking in. They couldn't do it so they called the Sherriff. He finally got the trunk open for me and there were no keys. We looked everywhere. I was freaking out. I stuck my hands in my back pocket thinking of what I could possibly do to fix the situation when I felt the key. Yep, that's right, in my pocket. I was so humiliated.

2: I Miss:
My cute little family.

3: I wish:
I could spend more time with my husband. One of us is always at work.

4: I crave:

Sugar and Doritos. Sad but true. They are on sale right now at Wal-Mart. Family size bag for 3 bucks.

5: I love:
I'm with Kate on this one, cleaning. Cleaning and Cooking. I know I'm so weird.

6: I am afraid of...
This is a weird one, but I am afraid of spiders, the dark and belly button lint. My uncle found this out several years ago and thought it was hilarious so he would go to the dryer and get the lint from the dryer vent and pull it from his bellybutton. All this just to watch me freak out.

7: I should belong to:
A book club. I read at least one book a week. I hear this will change once I have kids so I have to take full advantage of it while I can.

So now, I tag:
Greg and Britt
Ashley
Jaime
Tiffany
Oh how I wish I knew more people :(

Jack-o-latern dinner

Image
It's been a long time since we have updated our blog. We are still alive and we have done many cool things. I, Camille, just returned from a design conference in Chicago, I will post pictures later. It was amazing. Even more amazing was that Jay survived without me. The house was even clean when I returned. He is so wonderful.

I decided I was going to try out my Mom's creativity and cook dinner in a pumpkin. It turned out wonderful. If any of you would like the recipe, just let me know. The food was great but cooking it and serving it in a pumpkin was what made it wonderful. Thanks for the recipe Mom! This is going to become a tradition in our home.

Tiny Tommy

Image
This is Tommy. Tiny Tommy. On Friday I had a WONDERFUL day. I only had to work for 4 hours and then I got to spend the rest of th day with my husband. We went to his parents house to help plant flowers and play with our new chocolate fountain (dude, I love getting married) anyhow, we were at my inlaws planting flowers and I found a frog. I picked little Fred up and brought him to Tyler. Fred peed all over me, which I was not too happy about. Tyler put Fred in the pond and we quickly learned Fred doesn't like water. What frog doesn't like ponds? Fred is weird. Then Tyler heard a little chirping noise. We went to investigate and found little Tommy. I jumped down in the window well and saved Tommy from the mean spiders and rocks that live in window wells. Thankfully Debbie saved me from the mean spiders and rocks that live in window wells, their window well is very deep. Tommy and I quickly became good friends. I fed him cornmeal mush and worms. We first thought Tommy was a duck, but Tyler pointed out ducks need webbed feet and Tommy doesn't have webbed feet. We then decided he must be a Pheasant, since they live on Pheasant Run it would make sense. Tommy lived with me for about 2 hours when we heard other chirping noises coming from the other side of the fence in a tall tree. Jay jumped the fence and placed Tommy and the base of the tree with hopes of his real mom coming to rescue. For my own peace of mind I am going to tell you Tommy's mom swept down from the tree chirped a thank you and brought Tommy up to live with his brothers and sister.

Painting Mishap Take 2

Tyler is finally home and we are so excited! Jay and I decided to make a huge Welcome Home sign so celebrate the occasion. I rolled out the paper and sat down to make my beautiful sign when the paint just wouldn't come out.ImageYou see, I am a dumb blonde and when the paint wouldn't come out I quickly squeezed the bottle as hard as I could. Needless to say the paint squirted all over the carpet, couch and myself. All we could do was laugh, then go to Wal-mart for more paint.

The Floods Came Down

On July Fourth while most houses were sleeping or enjoying the fireworks my in-laws house decided it wanted a shower. We (Jay, Lyndee, Steve and I) were up at the neighbors enjoying sno-cones and fireworks. Steve decided to head back early. When the rest of us went back the front door was wide open and Steve was cleaning the house. First we thought he was crazy and I realized my OCD really was rubbing off on others. Then we walked down the hall and the house showered us. The house was flooding. It started upstairs, went to main floor and down into the basement.

The kitchen. It looks like the walls are hooked up for surgery or something, the little yellow tubes are blowing air into the walls to dry them out.

Camping

Image
We went camping for the Fourth of July! It was a lot of fun but by the end of the trip I was very ready to go home and take a shower.
This is our super cool new tent. It didn't take more than ten minutes to set up. It's rather big for just two people so I think we should have a party, anyone wanna go camping. I decided the next place we are going camping is a wonderful green area in Moscow. We will be able to set our tent up on a nice grassy area near a beautiful well kept pond. I am looking forward to going to this campsite sometime.

Image
After the tent was set up Jay and I went fishing. We got our fishing licences and the only stipulation is that we have to go at least three more times this year. No problem! I love to fish. This is my beautiful trout that I caught two seconds after casting my little wormy into the lake. The stupid fish swallowed the hook so my wonderful husband and father-in-law tried desperately to get the hook out with no luck. Jay gutted the fish and we snacked on it for breakfast, it was smoked all night but I was still a little worried I would get sick so we didn't eat much. Jay caught two fish but they were both stinky blue gill and I caught one blue gill and two trouts. I love fishing.
Image
We drove to the giant ceder and checked out the amazingness that is the tree. On our way back to town we stopped to take pictures. Greg and Jay saw some bling in the water and climbed down to check it out. The fools just found fools gold.

ImageBad news, as it turns out I think being OCD is contagious. Jay insisted on buying a broom for his new tent and swept it out before we could put it away. Then we had to sweep each side as it was folded and rolled up. He has suggested that we never camp on dirt again to make the cleaning process a little easier.

Human Sparkler

ImageFor Family Home Evening my wonderful husband prepared a lesson on cleanliness. I am not sure why he chose this lesson because let's be honest, his wife is a little OCD. Anyhow, for the activity I decided that to go along with the theme we should do ear candles and nose strips. No, we are not granola-esk but we did have to go into the CO-OP to buy the ear candles. They are super cool, if you have never tried them out, give us a call and we can teach you, we are old pro's now.

ImageNow don't worry nobody got hurt in the making
of this blog. In fact, Jay and I can both hear better now. You see the little candle acts as a vaccuum and sucks the ear wax right out of your ear. We started the process in our apartment but soon became slightly worried we would set off the sprinklers and went outside, lit candle in hand.

Now I must go and remove my nose strip, Jay and I are having a bit of a competition to see who wins. I had more ear wax but I know he has more blackheads...

One Year Older and Wiser Too

Image Happy Birthday Jay! Jay's birthday was June 26 and he is pleased to say he is not a menace to society. Something about if you are 25 and not married then you are menace to society. He made it by 10 days. I know, I wasn't think, I am going to have a wedding anniversary, Father's Day and his birthday all within a 10 day span. That is a lot of presents to come up with for the man.

Image For his birthday he wanted to go to Applebee's. It's a good thing I love him because sometimes he can be a bit of a nerd.

ImageWhen we got home he opened his presents. He really wanted a level, I know, weird. Apparently he has never had one and really wanted it, so now he has one. It's a trick though, now he will want to hang up all the pictures because he has a fun new toy. He also got the movie Madagascar and Fox and the Hound which by the way he has never seen. And his big gift was a tent. Looks like I am going to have to like camping since I just bought him a tent. I'll let you know how that works out. Maybe we will just camp in the living room.

Suds in the Bucket

When we got home from Vegas we had tons of laundry to do.Image
We ran an empty load to clean out our new washer and after it was done I started loading it full of laundry. Then I realized there was water all over the ground. The hose wasn't tight so it had been dripping for almost an hour. Jay cleaned up all the water and we started the wash again. I came back a few minutes later and the entire floor was sopping wet, the carpet was wet and there was water spraying everywhere. My wonderful husband forgot to connect the hose to the drain so the water was draining- spraying all over. He once again cleaned up the water and we were able to really do our laundry. So learn from our mistakes. When doing laundry make sure all hoses are connected properly and tight.

Viva Las Vegas Baby

Image For our Honeymoon we went to Las Vegas. Weird, I know, but it was so much fun! We stayed at Bally's, right on the strip and had a wonderful time. We did a LOT of walking and were ready to die by the end of each day but we saw a ton and made some amazing memories.

Image My husband, trying his luck out at gambling. For the record, he is horrible. We each decided to spend $5 gambling. We played the penny and 2 cent slots, one dollar at a time. The deal was if we hit $5 we had to cash out. Well, our first dollar he lost and I won $5 back. Second dollar we both lost, third, gone, forth he lost and I had to cash out. Our last dollar was spent on a giant slot machine and we both lost. So we started with 10 and ended with 10. Fun but Jay is not allowed to gamble ever again.

Image One day we walked down to Mandalay Bay and went through the Shark Reef. It was so cool. We walked through a tube and sharks were swimming above and around us. I was very grateful that the glass was thick and the sharks were contained. We also were able to touch rays swimming in a touch pool. I was fascinated by this but since Jay just returned from Florida where he was able to swim with giant rays he was a little bored.

Image
Ok so I'm not the best wife. One day I wanted to sleep in, so I did. Around 11 a.m. we finally got up and for breakfast we had sparking cider and Krispy Kreme donuts. Not a very healthy breakfast I know, but I am doing better I promise.

At the Car Wash Baby

Image So as tradition would have it, our car got trashed. Tactfully I must add, but trashed none the less. Balloons completely filled the car and I'm sure those who blew them up lost many brain cells, brain cells they didn't have to lose. Balloons were also tied to the mirrors and door handles. Poor Jay got so distracted he almost hit my parents fence pulling out of the driveway.
We had to stop down the road and take the balloons off so he wouldn't cause any accidents.

ImageJay and I had to stop at a car wash to clean the car off. Brittney spared her Oreo's and the car was covered in black spots and paint. Not all of the paint came off, weeks later we still have traces of "Happily Ever After" on the back of the bumper.

ImageThere was paint all over the car and windows, they did a fantastic job covering it. I washed the car again last night and blue and yellow flakes were still stuck to the windows.

Our Wedding Day

I have been receiving a few complaints about the lack of wedding pictures on our blog. So Jackie, Morgan, here you go. Keep in my mind I have about a thousand more if you ever get super bored, come on over.
ImageOh aren't we so cute? This is in front of the Idaho Falls temple right after we got married. After the millions of pictures were done we got a sno-cone. Talk about a perfect day.

Image Jay and I jammin' on the guitar hero. We didn't have a big turn out to our concert however.

Image This is my, I mean our, amazing cake. My cousin Missy made it. I would recommend her to everyone. Not only did it look pretty, but it tasted pretty yummy as well.

ImageThese are the little culprits who trashed my car. In the back, hidden from view, are many other little vandalizers, McKayla, Justin, Greg, Britt and many of my other cousins. Thanks a lot guys. Jay and I washed our car that night, some say it is because I am OCD, I say it is because I didn't want the paint to stay on the car overnight.
(Pictures to come)

Engagement Photos

Image

When Jay and I set a date we had three weeks to get everything done. We convinced my best friend, Kristi, to take our picture for the announcements. She did a fantastic job. Thanks K.
