Halloween

I know that we just had Thanksgiving, but these pictures were on my cell phone and I decided they were just too cute not to post. Poor Zachary spent Halloween on the couch with a 103.0 fever. He actually had the dreaded swine flu. I also don't have a great picture of JT on Halloween. He wore a skeleton costume and we decided he was just "a bag of bones" :) I need to use something other than my phone to get good pictures but I never seem to have it with me when I need it.

I LOVE FALL!

Fall is definitely one of may favorite times of year. We have been doing some enjoyable walks and hikes before winter comes and spoils all of our fun. Here's wishing fall could last another month!

my little comedian

Lexie has a really funny little personality. When we were at Walmart the other day, I was thinking outloud. "Hmm . . Now what else did Daddy want me to get?" Lexie then immediately starting listing items - She says, "He wanted Sprite, chocolate, cake, coconuts, candy, etc." (none of which were true) Then she starts cracking herself up laughing hysterically at her little joke. She thinks she is hilarious and I think she is a little young to be so quick to fabricate stuff.

How long will it take?

So two months ago I rolled my ankle playing indoor soccer. After being on crutches for a week and limping for a good month I am anxious to get back into action. But -- I am still not really able to do much more than walk on it. I have had lots of sprains before, but this is different. The ER doctor thought I probably tore a ligament, so maybe that is why it is taking so long to heal. Here is a lovely photo about 4 days after it happened and another picture of my other ankle so that you can see the difference (in case you thought I always have chubby ankles :) )

Where have we been?

So Jay has been after me to update our blog. I mean it, really, it has only been 6 months. What is he complaining about??? Did you all think we had died? Actually, I think my challenge is that I used to blog on Sunday afternoons as my journaling time and then I got busy with Sunday church meetings serving in the Stake YW. I am also a little overwhelmed as to where I should start as so much has happened - so I figure I can just post a few pictures of the places we've been since you saw us last.

?????

My dramatic Lexie -- "Oh Mom, what should I do?"

Holding up her foot so I can see her bare piggies she then says,

"My toes think they are people and they won't stop kissing. Ewww!"

Our trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Ohhhh Mexico! Jay and I went on a wonderful four-day trip to Cabo at the beginning of the month. It was paradise to be away from the winter cold and walking together on the beach. We stayed at a nice all-inclusive resort (yummy food) and did some really fun activities. We went on a Sunset boat cruise, did an outdoor zip line adventure course, went parasailing (Yikes!), and did some exploring of the beaches. Usually I have a hard time leaving the kids and am in a hurry to get home, but I have to admit that we were both reluctant to come home. We went with other couples from Jay's work and also enjoyed getting to know them better. Definitely the best part was that it was FREE!!
