Christmas morning

Image These kids are too spoiled. Jacob and Kayla got new bikes from Grandma Helen...thanks grandma! Jacob got a nintendo DS and couldn't put it down, not even to eat. We finally had to ban it from the table. Kayla loves her Barbie movies and anything pink and girly...so opposite from Chelsea when she was that age. I made her wear a skort to school one day and she cried.

We don't have our traditional cutting down the Christmas tree pictures because we went to the only live christmas tree nursery within an hour of our home and it was real slim pickins...trees we just didn't like. We miss the live nursery we went to every year in Alabama. This year, 2009, we had to go to a pre-cut tree nursery and buy one of those. That was one of our favorite traditions...I loved making a wreath for the front door with the extra limbs we cut off. So now I have spruce scented candles.

Christmas

Image One of our family traditions starts on December 1st...we have 5 advent calendars and take turns opening them. After that, we turn on Christmas music and dance to the oldies. Chelsea gave Jon a run for his money on Guitar Hero.
Image Maddie loves to chew on Jacob's ears. Whenever he is sitting on the floor Maddie needs to take a nibble. We're up to 25 pounds and counting. I wonder if they can diagnose her with ADHD. The only time she is calm is after Chelsea has run her for at least 2 miles.

Go back in time to the markets of Bethlehem

Image So now that I'm the Primary President guess what I inherited from the last president? We had to come up with a fruit booth for our ward party. Good thing Jon is handy with a machete, he went in the back yard and hacked down a ton of palm leaves and bought some fruit. They originally wanted us to cut up all the fruit and put them on skewers to be served that way but being the quick thinking mom that I am decided that 40 primary kids running around with skewers was probable not the safest way to have a party.

I really love the Eulitt's but if President Eulitt comes up to me and says "Did you know that being the Primary President is probably one of the hardest callings in the church", I think I'll scream or cry which ever comes first.

Happy Harbor Christmas Program 2009

Image Kayla and Lexi had fun making crafts at there Christmas party. Doesn't Kayla look like such a cute Angel? Looks can be deceiving.

Girls Night out to see New Moon

Image Tracy Brown, Tina Maddocks and I are having fun waiting to see New Moon. What started out as just a few of us ended up being 15. It was a blast and most of us brought our daughters.
Image After the movie we all went to Friday's for dinner and talked about the movie. We all thought it was amazing but can never be as good as the books. Ashley Blake has a busness called scribblinsisters.com and she let us custom-make our shirts for the movie. Chelsea's said TEAM Jacward...it's too hard to choose.

Jacob Thanksgiving program

Image Jacob is in Mrs. Gadsby's class and they always do fun programs. She is also teaching them chess during recess if they want.
Image So my dog has gone from 6 pounds to 12 pounds in just 4 weeks. Now I'm starting to worry. They told us she might get up to about 30 pounds...now they say over 50. There goes the lap dog idea...she would smash us if she gets that big. The best thing is that she is crate trained, YEAH!

At least my kids aren't afraid to get their hands dirty!
