Dear Families and Friends,
We hope that life has treated you all well, and is full of excitement and filled with the wonderful spirit of the Christmas season.
As we are approaching the end of the year, our mind is often pre-occupied with thoughts of whether or not our 2007 has been well-spent.
Some of the wonderful things that have happened include
- Johnson becoming an official BYU-Hawaii full-time employee.
- Johnson and Candy reaching their 4th anniversary of happy marriage.
- our entire family getting to visit Taiwan where Johnson, Corban and Lilia get to meet with families and old friends of Candy whom she hasn’t seen since she left five years ago.
- Corban’s 3rd birthday being celebrated in Taiwan with some of his favorite friends, uncles and aunties.
- Johnson getting stuck in Taiwan for almost two months so that he can learn to get along with his in-laws…just kidding! His passport is expiring and has to be renewed. The in-laws? They already love him more than their blood-related Candy.
- Candy being able to finally complete her B.S. in Information Systems regardless of being a full-time mother of two. So, congratulations, Candy! Yes, it’s possible. You’ve proven it.
Some of the sad things that have happened include:
- the unexpected passing of Candy’s father.
- Johnson missing Lilia’s first birthday because he’s stuck in Taiwan.
In general, the good thing is that there are more good than sad news in our report. As a matter of fact, the blessings we have received this year are much more than we can count, but we have definitely failed to mention a very important one, i.e. having you as our family and friends.
Whatever our past may be, we all get to say that we have another year lying ahead to make it a better and memorable one.
Our family is very glad to say that we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our life. We are grateful for this wonderful season when we can celebrate our Savior’s birth and its meaning to mankind. We testify that God exists and loves us dearly that He sent His Only Begotten to guide our way to Eternal Light.
May you all get to cherish this Christmas season and let its meaning come to light in your individual life with all the years that lie ahead of you.
Merry Christmas and Happ New Year!
