2011

What a life changing year it has been.  It has been a year full of celebration, new blessings, loss, grief, and learning what really matters in life.  One that I am sad to see go as our baby grows into a toddler, but I am looking forward to what the new year will bring.

January- Alabama got dumped on big time with snow!  I've never seen so much in my life, and the whole city shut down for a week.  Then of course came our biggest surprise of all on the 31st!

February-  We brought our precious bundle of joy home!  And survival mode kicked in to get us through the following weeks with a newborn.

March- We now have a 1 month old.  What just happened???!!!

Don't worry Abby I felt the same way about 3am feedings!

April- Terrible tornadoes came through the state.  Many lives and homes were lost.  We were blessed to only be without power for a week.
We dedicated Abby at church and promised to raise her in a Christian home.
I'm also glad no one told me the string on my dress was hanging out during our pictures.  :)
Then came our first Easter as a family of three!

May- We celebrated Sarah's 3rd birthday and Triston's 2nd.
John survived his first camping trip with the boys.
And I had fun playing dress up with my little girl!

Abby started sitting up by herself and turned 6 months old!
Went on our first family vacation with Grammy and Grandad to Orange Beach, AL where Abby got sick for the first time with a cold. :(

September-  I left Abby for the first time and went to New Orleans with the girls.  Had a blast, but sure missed my baby!  Came home to a sick husband and baby that both got hand, foot and mouth disease.
Celebrated my 28th birthday with a sweet surprise at my doorstep.

November- Eleven months after we lost my Grandaddy, Granny leaves us too.  We all grieve and miss her dearly, but she is finally reunited with her one true love.  Thanksgiving wasn't quite the same this year without the both of them and her good cooking.
We all enjoyed having Abby this year on her first Thanksgiving.  She was a good eater!

December- We celebrated our first Christmas together.  And enjoyed our last month with our baby before she turns ONE!
Caleb turns five!  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera at his party, but I found a picture from his first birthday.

First Christmas

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Abby.  The first week our tree was up her face would light up every time we would go into the living room.  She was fascinated by all the lights and touching the new decorations.  It was so sweet!  She got into unwrapping the presents some, but liked tearing up the tissue paper the best.

To kick things off we headed to Tennessee for six days.  Oh how I love getting to spend that much time with our family!
First up was Christmas Eve at Nana and Pap-Paws.

Every girl has to have a cell phone!

Then came Christmas Day at Grammy and Grandads.  I made all the Kiser cousins matching reindeer turtlenecks.  They are all five and under so getting them to sit still for a picture is pretty much impossible, but they all looked really cute!
