first day of school

Max started school at our church right after Labor Day.  He is in the 3-year class and he loves it!  His teacher, Mrs. Cheri, is a close family friend and we are so happy that Max is in her class.  I know he is going to learn so much.  Now that he is in the 3yr class, we get to do the car pool line.  It was so strange dropping him off and not going in.  He did great, though, and when I picked him up he was so happy and excited.  He had a wonderful day!  Below are pictures from his first day.  (It was also Auburn's first game, so Max and GJ are in their game day shirts.  War Eagle!)

five months

Greenlee Jo turned five months old on September 8th!

Image

She is just the sweetest thing!  Her personality is really starting to show.  She loves to laugh, especially at her crazy brother who will do pretty much anything to make her smile!

Image

She is soooooo close to rolling over.  She just needs to figure out how to get that arm out from under her.  She still loves being with her mommy more than anyone else, but I don't mind!!

We love this adorable five-month-old!!

Sunena's Wedding

My sister's BFF, Sunena (aka Aunt SuSu around our house), got married on August 28th in a beautiful Indian ceremony.  My sis and I were bridesmaids and, while he was a little young to be in the wedding, Max did get to attend wearing an authentic Indian outfit.  He was so stinkin' cute!!  Greenlee Jo went with a more southern style and wore a smocked pink dress.  : )  Sunena was beautiful and we are so happy for her and Landon!

3rd Birthday {Part 2}

On August 21st, we had Max's 3rd birthday party with our family and friends.  It was Mickey Mouse theme and it was SO much fun!  Max had an absolute blast jumping in the Bounce House, digging, running, playing and eating cake.  He has talked about it ever since.  It was HOT.  Let me say it again - it was HOT!!  Sweat dripping, cake melting kind of hot.  Luckily, little kids DO NOT care!  Instead of gifts this year, we asked our friends to donate baggies and water to a ministry started by our close friend, Paula, called Grace's Kitchen.  Max understood that, for his birthday, we were helping people who have no food.  Everyone was so generous and it was awesome to be able to show Max what it is like to help others.  The whole day was wonderful.  This is one lucky kid to be loved by so many great people.  Thank you to everyone who loves and prays for our sweet boy!!  Enjoy the gazillion snapshots below!  : )
