Santa's Newest Reindeer

"On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer, on Vixen, on Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen! But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolf Maxwell, the curly-headed reindeer!"

The cutest reindeer of them all, in my most un-biased opinion! : )

Merry Christmas!

Zoolight Safari

We visited Zoolight Safari this year with our good friends, Brian and Ashley, and their son, Sam. It was so much fun! It was pretty cold, but that was okay, since it was just another opportunity for Max to wear his adorable hat! : ) The boys loved all the lights and inflatables. Max rode on his first carousel and took his first zoo train ride and seemed to enjoy both. As you can see, all the excitement wore Max out and he zonked out as soon as he was in his carseat. The adults all had a great time, too, and will definitely be doing this again next year!

"How much is that baby in the window? The one with the cute, curly hair?"

Max's new favorite activity is spying on the neighbors gazing out the dining room window. As his Great-Mamaw Jo would say, he is not nosy - he is thirsty for knowledge!!

Fun with Storage Containers

Why play with the toys when we can get in or on what we put our toys in?? He does make sitting in a basket look fun, though, doesn't he?? ; )

Max's First Doughnut Run

The other night Jeff, my mom and I got a craving for doughnut after dinner, so we headed to Krispy Kreme. (Before you ask, yes, we actually did eat only one doughnut!) It was Max's first trip to KK and, while he actually didn't really care for the doughnut (I know, who's child is this?), he loved running around the restaurant and looked completely adorable in his hat. I was without my camera, which I know is never supposed to happen, but luckily mom's cell phone got some pretty cute shots. Looking at them is kind of making me wish I had a doughnut right now - anyone want to meet for an original hot glazed?? : )

Fifteen Month Checkup!

ImageImageImageImageImageImage
Last week was Max's fifteen month check-up. I know, I can't believe how old he is! Dr.McCown gave him a wonderful report - he is doing great! He is hitting all of his developmental milestones and doing everything a 15-month old should be doing. He says "momma", "dada","ball", "uh-oh", "bye-bye", "please (pwees)" and can pretend to sneeze like nobody's business. Oh, and of course, he is ALWAYS saying "I miss my Aunt Ashy.", "I love Grams and Pops!", "Is Grandma Brenda coming to see me today?" and "When is Aunt Sunena coming home for a visit?". Well, maybe he is not saying those things just yet, but I know he is totally thinking them. : )

He did really well during his check-up and impressed his doc. He stayed entertained with a tongue depressor while we were waiting and with Jeff's cell phone once he decided, by the end of the appointment, that he was over the whole doctor thing. He even smiled and gave Dr. McCown and few giggles before we left. We thank God everyday for our sweet, healthy little boy. We sure love the little guy.
