Christmas 2011

ImageThis is a sad assortment of pictures, to be sure. I took about 5 pictures on Christmas, all high quality as you can see. I have a goal to take more and better pictures in the year 2012. We'll see. Mixed with these is Kade's eye with 6 stitches in it. He was doing some gymastics on the couches and fell and hit his eye. It did not bleed at all! I thought he was fine until he wiped his eye and I saw a big gash. So he had a shiner for a few days. Hope all had a good Christmas and a happy new year ahead!

We enjoyed a vacation to the island of St. Thomas with our friends. It was so relaxing, warm, and pretty. Karalee was nice enough to manage the hooligans back at home and she whipped them right into shape. She informed me when I got home that they had brushed their teeth morning and night and practiced the piano every day! Somehow, she must have more energy than me. I really appreciated her and Garr keeping the kids. I don't have many pics here, John has most of them on his phone. Maybe sometime I can get some more put up. It was AWESOME!

Colin celebrated his 12th birthday.

I enjoyed a trip to Las Vegas with my parents and sister for the WAC volleyball tournament, since I have a cousin that plays on Idaho's volleyball team.

Fall Sports

Image
Zack is somewhere on this field, I just thought it was pretty that night.

Image
Colin tried football this year and loved it. Not loving pictures though, as you can see.

I actually started and finished a little project for Halloween, now for the other 35 that are waiting to be finished!

Some catching up....

Image
In September, McKena, Kade, and I were able to take a quick trip to Disneyland and SeaWorld with my parents. They were entertaining a visitor from Russia so this was our way of showing her America. Perfect weather, perfect non-crowds, need I say more?

Since I am so behind I'm just going to put up some pictures from the last 6 months--they probably won't end up in any kind of order that makes sense but at least I got them up.

More Activites

Connor, Drew, and Colin canoeing

It was very hot....

Emily, Gina, Kade, Jill, and McKena

So obviously the other activity we chose to do was canoeing (or paddle boats if you have youngsters and don't feel like tipping over in the yucky water). They give you an hour to wander around the lake. My legs were tired before that and I felt I had roasted in the sun long enough. Paddle boats do not move very fast compared to canoes. Anyway, a good time was had by all and thanks to Garr and Karalee for making the arrangements!

Our Activities at the Reunion

Kade wanted to try so badly, but he ended up being just a little too short.

Zack climbing

McKena loved this activity.

So this is the challenge course we did. There are 5 challenge courses up there. It involved climbing up the notched pole, side-stepping across a cable, then off down a zip-line. Pretty fun.
