It's official

Amazingly enough Luke keeps asking me if I have posted this yet... so per his request here it is. We have the date pretty set in stone... It is FRIDAY the 13th of March. Spooky! I think in order to honor the date we might end up just changing our colors to red and black and playing a horror film what do ya think? But all jokes aside We are getting married at the Mesa Az Temple in the Morning on the Friday before spring break and then we are having our reception that night at the Wright house, probably from 7-9pm, but it will say on our invitations for sure, so we hope to see everyone there!

It's worth speaking in stake conference when you get this as a present!!!

Well I figure I should finally make my first blog post ever in lieu of recent events, yep that's right my best friend asked me to marry him this past weekend!! Yahoo, so I can say I actually have something to blog about.

I guess I should start off by saying that Saturday I was pretty stressed and humbled because I got asked to speak in the Adult Session of Stake Conference. So Luke came to watch me speak like the good boyfriend he is and then after he found me and told me that our friend Rob and his girlfriend and some other friends were in town and they wanted us to come over and play ladder ball and croquet. So he said they were all waiting and he was going to go home and hurry and change and he just wanted me to go home and change and meet him over there so he could start setting stuff up. So I was like well why don't you just pick me up, cuz anyone who knows me knows that I don't take long to get ready, I actually pride myself in getting ready in like 10 min every morning. But he was like please just meet me there, I need to hurry. So I said fine, but really I was upset cuz I didn't want to drive alone.

So I call him when I am about to leave figuring that he would still be home and I could just go over with him, but much to my surprise, despite my super speedy changing just to prove a point, he said he was almost there and asked again if I could just him there. So I did reluctantly. When I pulled up I was still thinking about how it bugged me that he wouldn't pick me up, we don't get to spend very much time together as it is and I didn't want to have to drive home alone at night so I walk up to the door and my heart just dropped and started pounding super fast as I saw this....

So ya I instantly felt super guilty knowing what was really going on. I was being so difficult for him! So I read my card which was so cute, I always tell Luke for any holiday that I don't need anything and all I want is a homemade card... So for this special occasion he made me a very special card with a "Luke and Jenna Timeline" it was so cute and thoughtful just like Luke, Then on the back of the card he just wrote how much I meant to him and how he felt like I deserved a "superb" gift and then it said to open the door and follow the trail of orchids and truffles to my surprise....

So I opened the door and this is what I saw....

My favorite flowers which I have told him I want at our wedding with Brown and Green ribbon tied on the vases which are my colors, vanilla candles burning and my all time favorite individually boxed See's truffles ..yummm......

Then I came down stairs and playing on repeat was this Beachwood Sparks song "By Your Side" (which is the song I want to dance to at my reception) and I saw Luke standing there and It clicked, I realized why we were at Rob's house, Luke was wearing the same outfit he wore the first night we met and we met at Rob's house in his basement! haha He is so cute, like what guy remembers that? I think he only remembers cuz the first thing I said to him was "I love your brown basketball shorts, and your Purple shirt too" (thinking to myself who is this long haired hippie in the purple shirt?)

So then he proceeded to ask and make sure I knew why he was wearing what he was wearing and why we were at Rob's and then he said, Well I am sure by now you have figured out what is going on, but I just thought it was fitting that since this is where our relationship first began that this would also be the place where we would start a new chapter in our relationship. (he has got all the lines) So he got down on one knee and asked me If I would marry him! I said "Yes, of course" and he put this beautiful ring on my finger! I love it so much, I love vintage rings, it is perfect. I love all the detail on the sides!

So yeah, it was like out of the movies, the whole night was perfect, I am so excited. Right now we are planning on getting married Saturday March 14,2009 in the Mesa Az Temple. It's the Saturday before spring break, and Sorry I know that this was a super long entry but I just had to give all the details!
