Issues

Well, I was going to post about our Halloween...since Christmas is right around the corner. ha! I had a few pics of the kids in their cute costumes to upload and when I tried, it says I'm out of storage.  So...until I can let Brody take a look and see if he can figure out what the deal is, I guess I will just tell you we had a great Halloween, ate candy for DAYS, and had a fun Thanksgiving at my parents.

Posts are so totally boring without pics. Blah.

Happenings

My poor little blog...it's becoming so neglected! I think with instagram, I just post things so easily that I find I'm repeating things here. BUT...for some reason, I don't feel like I want to quit blogging. Anywho...here's what we've been up to lately:

Day at the Dentist

Poor Scarlett has inherited my teeth, I'm afraid. Despite brushing, flossing, and using fluoride rinse, she still had three cavities at her hast check up. The dentist recommended we use conscious sedation so that Scarlett would be more comfortable. At first I thought "fine, no biggie." Then I got the written instructions. No food/drink after midnight the night before...if they want to take a nap when they get home, check on them every 10 minutes for normal signs of breathing...etc. Ummmm, I became a nervous wreck pretty quickly!

My sister in law who is a dentist reassured me, our dentist reassured me, and Brody volunteered to take her since I was liable to make Scarlett nervous! He was great to send me pictures of most of the process. First, she had to drink some "yucky" stuff. Then she got to play video games for about 30 minutes while it started working. Then they took her back and gave her the gas mask...it works with the liquid medicine to relax her.

 And after about 15 minutes the whole thing was over! She did a great job :)

She looks like a whoville person here. haha. She says she was looking at the fish on the ceiling.

This part was a favorite...ice cream! As soon as the dental work was over they let her watch a movie, "wake up" a little more and have a treat since she didn't get to eat breakfast that morning. 

After the dentist, Brody dropped her off and I took her to get a prize. Hard to beat a new set of Legos! Because of the sedation, she was not allowed to go to school that day, but she really wasn't tired or anything so it was kind of a fun day of just the two of us. (Clark was at school that day)

First days

I don't know how we have been in school for almost a month, and I never got around to posting first day pictures! I guess we just started off with a bang and haven't looked back. With the kids in school, Ladies Bible Class for me, and Brody back at work, it's been crazy around here again!!

FIVE!

My sweet buddy is five years old. It seems like that's a turning point...he's a "big boy" now.

 Thankfully, since his birthday is in August I don't have to send him to school just yet...I think a young five year old is just too little to go to kindergarten. (but that's just my personal opinion). Plus...I WANT one more year with him at home. Once they go to school, it's over...time just starts flying!!

Happy happy birthday! You're a Harry Potter pretending, picture taking, Lego playing, silly face making, sister loving boy and we love you more every day!

Eight is Great

I cannot believe this sweet "baby" is eight years old!! 

Happiest of birthdays to my sweet, tender hearted, creative, animal loving, Dora playing, brother wrestling, picky eating, book loving girl. You make every day more fun!!!

I've seen people do instagram posts, but I don't have that app (yet). I'm thinking about getting it because I do take lots of pictures with my phone! Until then, I'm just going to do a big picture dump of what's been going on so far this summer.
