Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter Sunday as we celebrated our Savior! We didn't quite make it to church for the sunrise service, but we did have breakfast at church and then attended a special Easter musical performance by our choir. Afterward, we had lunch at our house and Bailey hunted Easter eggs.

Our Family - this is as good as the belly pics get!

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend with family. Maw-Maw and Pop and Uncle Kenny and Aunt Meike came to visit! On Friday Bailey hung out with the grandparents while Judd and I went to a movie - something we never do! Then on Saturday Bailey dyed Easter eggs. She did a great job and was proud of her work! That evening we went to the state park where my parents were staying to roast hot dogs and s'mores - yum!

San Antonio Shower

On Saturday we went to San Antonio for a shower given by some dear friends from our church there. It was so great to see people we haven't seen since this time last year. We are so thankful for their friendship. Thank you Rachel and Judy for hosting a great shower and our friends who blessed us with their presence and gifts for our baby boy!

Disclaimer: Bailey was with me at the shower so I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped...like pictures of our friends!

How big is Jenn's belly? Mrs. Mary got it right on the mark!!

Girls Night Out: Toby Keith

A friend from church treated a few of us girls to a night out at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Our seats were AMAZING - three rows from the floor. We had to dust the dirt off of our chairs before sitting down! We watched several of the rodeo events before Toby Keith took the stage. Thanks Tara for a great time and the guys for keeping the kids!

Bailey-isms

Bailey has been talking so much lately. Her vocabulary is increasing daily and we can actually understand what she's trying to say. There are a few things that she says that are just too funny:

1. She calls suckers (lollipops) "soccer players."
2. Yesterday it thundered and she said, "It hurt me!" I asked her what hurt her and she said, "The volcano hurt me." She thought the thunder was a volcano! Apparently she's seen the Backyardigans episode about the volcano a few times. I explained to her that it was thunder and it won't hurt her.
3. She constantly asks where people are. (Where's Kadon? Where's my Daddy?) We answer her and then she asks the same question over and over again. We finally started repeating her own question and she answers it herself.
4. She calls tortillas "tias."
5. She calls Capri Suns “apple juice box” even though it’s not apple juice and it’s not in a box.
6. Macaroni and cheese is "packamoni."
7. Cinderella is "Rella."
8. She calls The Backyardigans (TV show/cartoon characters) "yardigans."
9. We often say to Bailey, "You're cute!" or "You're beautiful!" to which she always responds, "I not cute!" or "I not bueful!"

And here are some bathroom pictures. Bailey found her swimsuit in her dresser and insisted on "swimming" in the bathtub.

March Madness

Image
March is here and that means SPRING is on the way! I love spring because it symbolizes a sense of newness. Here are some other reasons I'm excited about March:

1. Our first baby shower given by dear friends in San Antonio.
2. Easter - my parents, brother and sister-in-law will be spending the weekend with us!
3. Spring Break - even though I don't get one this year for the first time EVER :(
4. Judd and I started dating in March, TWELVE years ago this year...crazy!
5. It's one step closer to May!!
6. Spring colors!
7. Driving with the windows down
8. Sonic drinks (while driving with the windows down and the radio turned up)
9. Bluebonnets
