She gets it!

After we had been home for a couple of days from our Christmas travels, Bailey and I went grocery shopping. It was a girl's only outing. On the way to the store I asked her what her favorite gift was this year. This was her response:

"I really liked the Barbie house from Santa, and the Judy Moody movie, and my pillow pet. But the best gift of all is Jesus."

I sat in the front seat of the car with tears in my eyes. She gets it. I am so thankful that she knows the reason that we celebrate Christmas and that the greatest gift of all is a baby boy that came to save the world.

So Long, Snowflake...

We left home for Garland on December 21. We were confident that Snowflake would be able to find us at Maw-Maw and Pop's house...and he did!

(Funny story: Maw-Maw made fried pickles that day so Snowflake couldn't stay on the stovetop. We didn't want him to get splattered with grease! The kids decided that Uncle Kenny could touch him and move him to a safer place since Snowflake doesn't live at his house!)

Day 27 (Christmas Eve) - on the mantel next to the Christmas countdown...one more day!

On the night of Christmas Eve, Snowflake went back to the North Pole where he will stay with all of his elf friends until next Christmas. So long Snowflake! We can't wait to see you again next year!

The day after Christmas, we celebrated with Nonnie, Bubba, Ma, and the Englands. The kids got a lot of cousin time, including a sleepover at their house!

Christmas at Memommie and Grandaddy's

On Christmas Day, we went to Memommie and Grandaddy's house for lunch. We had our traditional turkey, dressing, and all the fixings. It was delicious as usual! The kids had a lot of fun playing with their second cousins.

Santa came to Maw-Maw and Pop's house!

Santa brought Bailey a Barbie Dream House, Barbie doll, Barbie clothes, Judy Moody movie, and pillow pet.

Campbell got a real tent, Batmobile, Joker's Fun House, Robin's motorcycle, board game, and pillow pet.

They were so excited! Later that morning Bailey said, "Santa is nice. See, I wasn't on the naughty list." Judd told her she was lucky. Then Bailey said, "Yeah, that was a close one!" She cracks us up!!!

Santa brought so much stuff for our stockings that he had to take them off of the mantel and put them on the dining room table!

Both kids got candy, spin toothbrushes, toothpaste, flossers, undies, stickers, and art paper.

We spent the days leading up to Christmas with Maw-Maw and Pop. We had a lot of fun!

We made Christmas cookies with Maw-Maw.

We saw the new Chipmunks movie.

We celebrated Christmas Eve at Watermark.

We ate our traditional Christmas Eve meal of tamales and fajitas then we opened gifts.
