Cruisin'

Bailey got this Power Wheels Escalade for her third birthday. Three and a half years later, it's the gift that keeps on giving!

Game Ball

After every tee-ball game, one lucky player on Bailey's team gets to keep the game ball. Last night as we got in the car to go to the game, Bailey said she wanted the game ball. I told her she had to hustle and play hard if she wanted it. (And then I cringed, because there are 12 kiddos on her team and only one game ball!) Well, Miss Bailey played her little heart out. She followed all of her coach's instructions, she hustled, and she cheered for her teammates. During the team huddle after the game she was given the game ball for her hard work on the field! It was such a great lesson for her - to set a goal and work hard to achieve it. We're so proud of her!

Easter Weekend: Sunday

We had a great time coloring eggs and the kids anticipated a visit from the Easter bunny, but the REAL reason we celebrate Easter is our risen Savior.  We started that celebration on Sunday morning at an apartment complex that our church has been ministering to this year.

Jesus paid it all.  All to Him I owe.

Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

Oh praise the one who paid my debt,
And raised this life up from the dead!

After our service at the apartment complex we went home to change clothes for church.  I know they're mine, but my goodness these kids are cute!!

Campbell fell asleep during church!

And that is why he looks like this in our family picture...tired boy!

Easter Lunch - Meike folded the napkins!  We had strawberry and walnut salad, ham, corn casserole, crispy parmesan asparagus sticks (thank you, Pinterest), deviled eggs, and rolls.
Image

After lunch we had our annual Easter egg hunt.  Excuse the long grass - it was necessary for optimal egg hiding.  ;)

This girl RAN all over the yard.  Her little brother was slow as a turtle!

Pop and Esra watched, but next year Esra will be running around with his cousins!

Easter Weekend: Saturday

When I saw a tutorial on coloring Easter eggs with Kool-Aid on Pinterest, I knew we had to try it!

We caught Campbell doing this several times...good thing it was Kool Aid!

On Saturday evening, we went to the state park for hot dogs and hamburgers.  The kids had a blast riding their bikes, and Bailey caught lightening bugs for the first time.
(We had so much fun I didn't take any pictures...)

bluebonnets

I love springtime in Texas!  Bluebonnets are one of my favorite things.  Last year, we didn't have any bluebonnets because of the drought, but we've been blessed with quite a bit of rain this year and lots of bluebonnets!
