what we are up to

It has been FOREVER since I have updated this thing. I just thought I would fill you all in on what has been going on in our lives lately. :)

John is still working for TCH and really learning a lot. He is enjoying his new role as a system administrator
(don't even ask me what that is) and is looking forward to when some new project he calls 'Oracle' is finished. Again, don't ask me what any of that means. I just know he thinks and talks about it all of the time.

John has also started going BACK TO SCHOOL! :) woot woo! I am so excited and happy for him. He has decided to major in Computer Science and is projecting to graduate in t-minus four years. That's not that long is it? HOLY. MOSES. That's a LONG time! Not to mention expensive! But I am so proud of the hard work he has put in so far. What a champ!

I am still working at good ol' AF and enjoying the training department. It definitely presents its challenges. Especially with all of the changes that come with getting a new teller system and acquiring several new branches. But it has all been worth it. I have learned A TON!

John is serving as the Weblos den leader in our ward. He does such a great job and puts a lot of effort in helping the boys get their badges. FYI: he looks pretty cute in his scout shirt. ha ha My little boy scout! :) I was recently called to serve as the Laurels Advisor in the Young Womens. WOWZA! I feel so inadequate to be in that calling. I swear it wasn't that long ago that I was their age, sitting in my own Young Womens class. I am pretty sure that I will learn more from them than they will from me. :) Wish me luck.

We have officially started our training for...wait for it...wait for it......our half marathon! Yup! That's right. This summer JR and I have both signed up for the daunting, grueling task of running probably more walking for me the Ogden half marathon! John has ran a full and a half marathon already so I know he is going to KILL it! But I on the other hand have not. I'm a little nervous. Okay I'm not going to lie, I'm ALOT nervous! Somebody needs to be on hand to scrape me off the pavement as I set to head down Ogden Canyon. I'm pretty sure I will be passed out at that point. The half marathon is in May, and the work doesn't stop there. John is also running the Wasatch Back/Ragnar Relay in June with a bunch of his friends from work. Go team "Blue Darts"! (don't ask me why they chose that name) Well John inspired me so much that..... I am running the Epic Relay in August! Again... Holy. Moses! I must be crazy!

Well that's about it for us. Nothing too exciting. We are loving married life out here in Plain City and are adapting to all of the hard work and challenges that come with owning a home. If you are ever in the area be sure to stop by and visit! I may even have a cold Diet beverage to share. :)

A different kind of hunt this year.....

John and I are on the hunt for a new TV! Ol' 'gray trusty' just isn't holding up to his name anymore.
Any comments, suggestions, advice would be greatly, no....Awesomely appreciated!
So.....
Do we go with LCD or Plasma?
Sony? Panasonic? LG? Vizio? Sanyo?
How big is so big that it overpowers the entire room?
What is a good deal?
Where to buy???? Online or in a store?
Is it worth it to wait until the after Thanksgiving sales?
Are the rebuilt/restored just as good?
Oh the many many questions!
