On April 11, 2009 our little girl got baptized and it was a very special day for our family. Isabella could not wait anymore for this day. She was so excited to be baptized. For me it was very special too, to see the man who baptized me 13 years ago now baptizing our daughter. I tried to make this day very special for her. I could tell she loved it so much just by looking at her face.
John's family came and my dear mother-in-law talked about the Holly Ghost and it was great. She really has the spirit with her. I talked about baptism, Charlotte did the first pray, Sharlene the last one and David my father-in-law with Justin, John's brother were the witness. We had a special musical number by the primary president Heather with her beautiful voice, Juliana played celo at the begining and her husband played the piano. Also while I was changing Bella after the baptism Janilson with Isadora and Beatriz performed a special musical number as well. Everybody could tell the spirit was there with us on that day.
John helped me so much too to make all the invitations, the program and the book markers with Isabella's picture on it to give to the guests everything turned out so beautiful. My mom wraped all the boxes to decorate the tables and she was the whole time during the party with her friends Celia and Rose preparing the food.
For the party part I could not have it done if it wasn't for my dear and good friends who helped me a lot with everything. They went to the library and decorated everything for me while I was still at the church and everything looked so beautiful. Almost everybody that we invited was there to celebrate with us and all I can say is... Isabella had a blast.

We went to get some pictures with Isabella's baptism dress so we could make the invitations and of course keep as a good memory of her special day. We also decided to go ahead and take our family pictures for this year and they turned out really good. Kevin and Isabella behaved very well and after words we gave them marbles for being so good during the picture time, man I love this marble idea it works so well with my kids and they love to get them when they do something good but of course they don't like to loose them when they do something wrong. Here is how this work when they get 100 marbles they get $20.00 and they can buy whatever they want. Isabella always choose to keep her money for "college" yes friends for college she is already thinking about college and all her little money she saves it. Kevin on the other hand love to go out and buy toys which it's OK he is just five years old. He tries to keep some of his money but it really is a temptation for him to see the money there while he could be out there "toys r us" buying all his toys.

For the month of April our girls night out was at a club house with a "very special guest" Edward... yep Edward from twilight... he he he. We saw the movie again but I could not stay until the end because I was so busy taking care of Isabella's b-day party, but at least I stayed a little bit and took some pictures with him.

I'm trying to create a new tradition in our family that on the day of that person's b-day I'll bring breakfast in bed for them with their favorite food. So that's what I did for Bella, I brought breakfast in bed for her and she just loved it. She said it was the best breakfast in the whole wild world and that made me feel so happy, because everything was so simple. Her friend Victoria came for a sleep over and she got a breakfast in bed as well and she also loved it. Than we went to the store build a bear so she could choose a bear as her b-day present. At that same day, she chose that she wanted to go rock climbing and she is really good at it. Kevin was a little scared but still he tried. For sure we had a busy day.

We always have our family home evening on Mondays with a lesson, treat and activity and I guess once a month for this day we're trying to do something a little more fancy, so for the month of March we went to see the movie Monsters vs. Aliens with some popcorn and the kids loved it.

The kids had a primary egg hunt at a park and they loved it. The primary president was there and she was explaining to the kids the real meaning of Easter. They sat still and learned a little more from her. It was great.

The next day I went to another brazilian restaurant to celebrate a little more of my b-day with my family and some friends. It was good to eat a "churrasco".
