Tightening Up and Chilling Out.
Turns out I am becoming far less of an “open book”. I feel less and less of a need to share fairly personal information over my blog and with just about anyone. Turns out I thrive on close friendships and feeling appreciated is a big deal to me. Turns out I love knowing friends trust me. Turns out, I’m finding the positive side of taking things less seriously. Turns out I’m finding that there are some things I can do to live a healthier lifestyle. I’m not talking food here either.
Lacking Courage
So I was walking in the halls here at UVU and I saw a very pretty girl. Nothing new about that, there’s plenty of em around here. But for some reason, this girl just really caught my eye. I stopped and started fiddling with stuff in my back pack when she walked past me. Our eyes met, she smiled, I smiled. It was beautiful. After I was done putting my stuff away, I had a crazy thought. Go up and talk to her! I started walking somewhat briskly down the hall she’d gone, caught site of her and began to hone in on my target. Well, when this beautiful girl was only feet away, my courage failed me. ARGH! I know, pathetic, right? Here I am, a Son of God, Melchizidek Priesthood holder, Massage Therapist, student, and United States Marine… and I can’t even muster the courage to talk to a girl. *hangs head in shame*
What is it that makes that so hard for some people. Heck, other times it doesn’t even bother me. Tis life I guess. Oh well!
