She just thanked me like 5 seconds ago after i opened the door for her, and he said i was not gentleman enuf, just because i din open de next door where he was standing at while staring at us with a "please move faster and dun try to waste my time" look. and apparently i have the 'general population look' cos tat one action i missed can cause him to generalize all medic guys as 'tak tau be gentleman'..

he led us with answers such as central cord syndrome to his 'what type of spinal cord lesion that you know' before bashed me with 'you should classified that to complete and incomplete transection first' because i continued answering him with ant. cord syn, Brown Sequard syn. etc.

"What is the presentation for spinal shock for the first 48 hours?"
Me - it can present with a neurogenic shock due to autonomic dysregulation. and also for the first 48hours there'll be a lower motor neuron *interupted before i can blurt out the word SYMPTOM
"WAT? you sure it's lower motor neuron" *stare at me
"it'll present with muscle paralysis and areflexia"
Me thinking - wth.. correct la me, paralysis and areflexia is a symptom of LMN lesion ma, and i thought i read wrong for a second back there.

"How do you treat neurogenic shock?"
Me - the main concern is the hypovolemic shock (relative). so, i'll give vasoconstrictors and also do a fluid resuscitation *interrupted
"Fluid resuscitation? in neurogenic shock?"
Me thinking - huh? takkan a spinal cord can transect suddenly. mestilah ada accident. got accident severe enuf to cause spinal cord, mestilah ada hemorrhage... ARGH.. he din even let me finish answering.. ARGHHHHHH.....

"when's your exam"
the others - "March"
"how long you gonna stil be in ortho"
the others - "next week is the last week dy"
And then he looked at ME before saying, "And you stil can't answer my question"
WTH, why de heck did you look at me when i'm the only one who tried(and you din even let me complete them) to answer all your questions while the others din even try when you asked them..--_--

anyway, at least he gave us teaching, some other groups din even hav it... XD.. but when i ponder back, hmmmm, maybe the way i answer was bad, have to buck up with my knowledge and mend up my VIVA skills....

LAST WEEK IN ORTHO WEY.... the beginning of paeds life, PAEDS ORTHO tomorrow before going to PAEDS POSTING next week. XD..

when you had just convince yourself that psychiatry is over, and your supervisor happily inform you about doing a long case

when you were just about to prepare to read for long case, and you just have to remember about your part of yet-to-start power point presentation for SSM

when you were just thinking of doing your SSM after dinner, and you've to go out for _______ but they ______

when you're irritable and wanna quench your thirst, your water bottle will so-happened to be empty, and you've to refill it from a 70-year-old-male-with-severe-BPH-liked water filter taking years to fill a 500ml bottle.

when you really need a bath at night, and the weather is so freezing cold

when there's an ulcer in your mouth, and you've to brush your teeth, and gargle with Listerine

when you were just thinking of sleeping, and it just occurred to you that you haven't hang the clothes you washed before dinner.


at the end of the day, you'll just look back and complain about how miserable and wretched the day was, every wonderful or blessed incidences and events being shrouded and concealed.
yea, this is life...
