We went to the Ute's vs TCU game last week with our good friends. It was such a good time. Kim and I cared more about taking pictures than what was really going on in the game. It was quite the experience. We took the Trax all the way up the mountain to the stadium. There were so many drunk people on there rooting on the Ute's. It was an intense feeling. I had a great time. Thanks for going with us Gallegos family!

Last week of freedom

So this past weekend just flew by so quickly. We got ourselves a babysitter Saturday night and went out with some friends. It was SO much fun. It's weird how a couple of hours away from the kids can be so nice! This is my last week before my 18 month journey through nursing school. I have my orientation on Thursday; so I will know then what my schedule will be like. I've been thinking about joining the military when I'm finished just to get the experience and have them pay off my student loans. I'm not for sure though so I will just have to see where I am at that point in my life.

12 more days

It's OFFICIAL!! My financial aid has gone through and I have orientation on the 25th. My graduation date is set for June 2010. That seems so long away but it really isn't. 20 months of my life is nothing.

Full weekends

Well us Pectols had a very busy weekend. Josh's grandpa died last Tuesday so we headed to
St. George for the funeral. This was his first grandparent to pass away and all of mine are still living, so we didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a very lovely service. Friday night was the viewing and Saturday morning the funeral. The boys got to spend quality time with both of their grandmas!! I was exhausted by the end of the trip because Owen decided he didn't want to sleep at night. Needless to say- it was good to get home last night. I don't think we will be going down to St. George for a while. It gets so busy running here and there and trying to see everyone in one day. On another note, I have to go do all my financial aid business for my school tomorrow. I'm really nervous about starting this school. I think it's because I know once I start there is no backing out of the 18 month course. I have liked having the past few weeks free of homework and spending my evenings doing whatever it is that I want.

When things change

Image

Do you ever stop and think about how life can change in just a short period of time? I really need to start cherishing the things in life that are the most important. Carter is getting so big and smart. It's hard for me to even remember when he was a baby. It seems as if it were decades ago yet it has flown by. He has his own friends now and doesn't need his mommy as much. I like to listen to him playing and making up stories. He is so funny. He has to be the most unique person I've ever met. Yesterday he had a medicine syringe tied around his leg. He said it was his sword. They just grow and have these little imaginative minds. It takes me back to my childhood just listening to him. I remember how I would spend hours upon hours in my room with my sister playing barbies. We would go all out. I miss that. Owen is also growing so fast. I swear he learns a new word every day. I love being the mother of two little boys. At times it can be very frustrating trying to deal with all the chaos but at the end of the day there is nothing else I'd rather have spent my day doing.
