Keeping up with the Atwoods

So it's been longer than forever...I know. But a lot has been going on lately. Brinlie is now a year old. Time has flown by like no other. I'm so grateful to have such a beautiful little girl that's all mine. I love her more and more every day. She's getting so big...here's a few of the things she can do/say:

she can say the following:
mama
dada
baba
mimi--binki
ganpa-grandpa
ganma-grandma
chad
meelee-emily
moo
baaa--like a sheep
bob
baby

and my baby is walking. It started pretty much on the day of her birthday with taking a step or two in front of everyone and it progressed from there. Her personality is wonderful. She's such a happy baby. I'm one lucky mama.

Josh and I were also lucky enough to have wrist surgery the same week...mine unfortunately was unexpected and from my stupidity. Josh had a tumor removed from his left wrist while I had a plate put into my right wrist from breaking it on Thanksgiving. To make a long story short...I kicked a laundry basket and fell on Thanksgiving. Josh had a quick recovery and well...I had to go to therapy and I did lose some mobility in my wrist like rotating wise. But we are doing great though surgery wise. Haa haa

We recently moved to a new duplex in Roy. Further west though. We had some issues with the last place with the heater and the water heater. The issues were discussed with our landlords but basically we were told that they wouldn't be fixed. So we gave our noticed and moved to a nicer duplex that's exactly the same....but better. We are happy with our decision. Hopefully we won't be here too long and move into a house.

Jobs are going great for the both of us as well. I took a step down from being the night lead to work days and to be able to be with my family at night. Josh was struggling to watch Brinlie and get homework, dinner and everything else done while I worked till 10pm. So being able to be home with my little family at night has helped out tremendously.

Sorry for the short update but basically that's all for now. I'll get pics posted soon.

Growing Up

Image

Oh my goodness people! Brinlie is growing up way to fast. I just want her to stay little forever. Brinlie is still and always will be the love of mine and Josh's life. She is so precious to us even though she likes to get into everything but her toys these days. Here's a little update of just how big our 'little miss brinlie boo' is:

-She's a speed crawler, she'll follow you everywhere
-Just recently got her 3rd tooth!!
-Can say 'mama', 'dada' and 'baba'
-Is starting to wave when you say 'hi'
-Can pull her self up on anything...literally anything
-Likes to play with our vertical blinds in the living room
-Pulls all the dvd's off the shelf
-Eats everything off the floor like carpet tufts, lint..you name it and ya it's been there in the mouth.

So ya that's only a little bit of our growing girl. Pretty soon she'll be a toddler. Thank goodness she still likes to cuddle and sit on my lap. We love her so much...there are times that she'll having you rolling on the floor laughing. Brinlie amazes me by her learning, eagerness and determination to always do more. More pictures will be coming soon. Cause I need to get a nine month picture of her this week before the weather is absolute crap.

On the Upside

Well there is so much to be thankful for these days since the past year has been a tremendous struggle for our little family. I got promoted this week to the night shift team lead...and I've only been there for a little over a month...yes I'm that awesome. Haa haa. So that means more money coming our way to pay off bills that has piled up over the past year. Josh's work is going well for him and he's got confidence that he knows what to do with Brinlie at night now. Brinlie now has her two front bottom teeth..not all the way in yet but they have finally broken through. She's almost mastered sitting up all by herself. She'll fall over to get a toy...so yeah. BUT....Brinlie has mastered the "worm". She does the worm instead of crawling. Its halarious!! Ya'll gotta see it. Brinlie has become the baby you make fun of in church but I don't care cause she's doing it with speed, class and she is adorable when she does it.

So this is just a little update with our family. Tomorrow we get our family pictures done and I'll post some as soon as I get them.

Forever....I know

So yes know it's been FOREVER since I've blogged. It's a little tough when you have a 6 month old that your attention....but I love her more than the computer. So ha and deal with it. A lot has been going on with our little family that it's been super hard to find time for myself. I've tried several times to blog but as soon as I start Brinlie wakes up or she's wanting to touch the computer. Ya...all you mommies out there know what I'm talking about.

Josh is still working hard for our little family just work work work. He's registered for fall semester and he's so super excited for it to start next week. (That's a joke)
Brinlie is getting big...and fast. (Getting older I mean) She loves eating solid foods now. Sweet potato is her fav! She is now rolling all over the place and ends up with her little feet on the enertainment center in our living room while watching tv. Oh...SpoungeBob is Brinlie's favorite tv show. She wants nothing to do with the Baby Einstein dvds that I bought. The biggest thing that she's learning now...is to crawl. Brinlie gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth like its going out of style. Just a few days ago shes figured out that she has to move her legs but let me tell you...as soon as she figures out that her hands have to move too we are in huge trouble. (I love her and it'll be awesome!)
Me...well I'm back to working. I work for USA Cash Services doing collections. It's not bad at all. I love working with the girls there. They make the night go super fast. So things for our little family is going on the up and up finally. The downward spiral has come to and end. GLORIOUS!!!

Here are just a few pics of Brinlie and of how freakin adorable she's gotten. Oh and PS...we are getting new family pics done in a few weeks...so keep checking for postings of those pics.

Oregon 2010

This year was so much fun. We went for several days to the Oregon coast where we went to the beach, visited the aquarium and tasted yummy cheese.

The first two nights we stayed at a place in Oregon called La Pine. They celebrated the fourth with lawn mower races...super funny. Big ones and little ones and suped up ones.

The night of fireworks...haa haa funny story. The whole clan of us showed up super early for great spots, nobody would be in front of us. Well....nobody else showed up to see the fireworks till about a hour before they started. I guess we under estimated how small the town was.

The day that we decided to take Brinlie down to the beach was awful. It was foggy, windy and cold. I'm sure it didn't help either that she needed a diaper change, bottle and was tired too. With it being windy it blew the sand all over, pelting me in the back while I tried to keep it from getting all over Brinlie. The end result....going back to camp and me ending up like a fried tomato.

We had lots of fun and Brinlie did great the whole time for sitting for long periods of time in her carseat. She pretty much slept the whole time. Here is a pic of how she would sleep in the car. Also this was the only thing that could get her to fall asleep too.

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin

Brinlie has accomplished a lot since I blogged last. She now eats solid foods like veggies. She LOVES sweet potatoes! Brinlie isn't a big fan of the plain rice cereal. Go figure! Haa haa.

Brinlie now knows how to roll from her back to her belly and belly to her back. Oh she is growing so fast. So now that she knows how to roll. No more leaving her on the couch alone or even on the bed. Also we are starting to work her into sleeping in her crib. I've tried a few weeks ago and gave up so we are starting again.

She's also talking up a storm. Yes Brinlie has become one of those babies during sacrament meeting that makes herself be known to the whole congregation. She's getting bigger and bigger everyday. It's amazing! I love being able to be home and witness all of these awesome accomplishments.

Firsts...

Last night was the first night that my little Brinlie stayed the night away from me. Josh and I went on a date to go bowling with some friends but it got so late that I found it best for her to sleep over at my parents instead of picking her up at almost midnight. As I stood in line with a few people for food...I lost it! I started crying nonstop even though I knew she would be perfectly fine.

As I picked her up this morning she was happy and wide awake sitting in grandma's lap. My mom said that she did just fine but ended up in the bed with her grandma and grandpa...the bed just does something for her. At least they have a king size bed instead of a full like Josh and I. Haa haa.

Earlier this week we purchased a bumbo chair to help her sit up...she loves it for about 20 mins. Brinlie is getting so big. Next week she will be four months old. Boy does time fly or what? Also this week Brinlie has discovered her feet. She grabs a hold of them and sometimes even pulls them into her mouth...yuck, but good thing she doesn't walk yet. =-) Brinlie is an amazing little girl and makes our life wonderful no matter what down falls comes along. I'm grateful to be her mommy and experience her little triumps each day.
