Thoughts on Motherhood

Just yesterday I was thinking how hard it was to be a mom- my kids always seem to need me all at the same time and my house is never fully clean. Many things are left half or partially done to be allowed to attend to a little person's needs. Sometimes it is maddening! As a mother I feel physically spread thin as well as mentally. You understand.

Today Draycin and Cael's preschool field trip was cancelled due to inclement weather. I decided to go anyway because everything was packed and I didn't want to see the disappointment on their faces after all the build up of how fun it would be. Lunch packed and jackets zipped off we went! The food was consumed quickly as the kids complained of freezing to death. Suddenly the sun came out and we went into the Willow park Zoo to see the animals. It was like magic all the animals out and ready to please the children! It was totally worth it to see the look on their faces and the pure glee in their skipping and squealing countenances! I AM SO THANKFUL TO BE A MOTHER!!! Not every moment is perfect, but I would take a thousand imperfect moments to be able to experience the sweet and seemingly perfect moments with my children! I am so grateful for these precious little people!
