L & T's Annual Halloween Party!

First off I had to post a picture of the food. Doesn't it all look cute? It was tasty too!
Image Here are Ben and Cooper, the two Peter Pans. Right when we walked in Cooper saw Ben's costume (which Laura made by the way) and saw that his shirt was jagged and he asked me over and over until I went and got scissors and cut his shirt to be jagged like Bens. Cooper told me "we did it wrong mom!" Isn't that hilarious?

Image The characters from Peter Pan! Tom-Smee, Laura- Tiger Lily, Ryan-Captain Hook, Mom and Dad-Mr. and Mrs. Darling, Me-Tinkerbell, Jackson-alligator, Elizabeth-Wendy (laura made her costume as well), Ben and Cooper-Peter Pan.

Image Dana and me with Elizabeth, Jackson and Ashlynn (Dana's daughter)

Image Laura and Tom had all kinds of fun games planned for us all. Here are most of the kids getting ready to play the games.

Image First up was the pinata!

Image I love Cooper's expression here!

Image Then she did this fun popping balloon game where there was a candy in each balloon.

Image After that the kids went out to play and the adults started the fun. She set up Minute to Win It and we all split up into teams and played some really fun games!

First game-unroll the toilet paper rolls first! (which I won by the way, I know I know, don't be jealous.)

Image Next-blow a bubble from one side of the room to the other.

Image Then toilet paper rolling.

Image Tom won and I just love how E is looking at her daddy!

ImageNext-keep three balloons in the air.

Image
Then balloon tennis which was actually really hard! (maybe I feel that way since Dana and I got out first!)

Image Then they had to pick up bags with their mouths and not using hands or legs- I couldn't believe how good they were at it, Laura and I tested it out and couldn't get any!

Image I had to post a picture of Tom doing it because he was able to get all of them!

Image Then the dohnut eating game.

Image Next was the candy throwing game.

Image

The next game was the cookie game-you had to wiggle the cookie into your mouth. I got some hilarious pictures but didn't want to post any, for fear of retribution some day! :) This one was cute of Janet!

ImageThe last game was the tissue box game.

Image Like always we had SUCH a good time! Already looking forward to next year!

Halloween Work Party

Ryan's work has a really fun Halloween family day that we went to for the first time this year. We had a great time and I wished we could have stayed longer! The weather was gorgeous.

Right when we arrived they were doing a costume contest so we quickly got the kids in line. Here is Jackson, he was not interested in walking onto stage! :)
Image This is what Cooper did. He was so cute.

Image Then we headed to the great bounce houses. Cooper saw some bigger boys jumping up like this and he tried it a few times. He almost flipped over and gave me a heart attack so I made him stop :)

Image Then we headed to the pony ride.

Image

Image I was impressed by the horse's tail!

Image Next stop was the train ride.

Image While we were waiting the puppet show caught their eye so we went over to take a look.

Image But then quickly got back in line when the train came.

Image Here are both the boys on the train.

Image They had really good face painters there and Jackson and I were standing in line to get his face painted (Cooper did not want that done!) and while waiting we were watching a scarecrow woman do a little skit with her crow. She was so funny and Jackson watched for probably 5 minutes, then all of the sudden started wailing! So we hurried inside to play games with Cooper.

They had all kinds of yummy carnival food including hot funnel cakes, YUM! So we stuffed ourselves and then headed to Laura and Tom's party!

Peter Pan and the Crocodile

My two cutie pies are going to be Peter Pan and the Crocodile for Halloween.
Image
We got to try out the costumes last weekend because Laura and Tom had their annual Halloween party AND Ryan's work had their work party. They wore their costumes all day and I feel like we already had Halloween!

Image This shows off the cute tail Laura made Jackson for his birthday. It worked perfectly with his costume!

Image

Image The alligator hat I made was pretty cute but unfortunately if there was any wind at all this is what it did.

Image For L & T's party even the grown-ups dress up. We went with a Peter Pan theme- I'm Tinkerbell and Ryan is Captain Hook. Our entire family (including L & T's family and my parents) were characters from Peter Pan, I'll post a picture when I post about Laura's party.

Image Grandma and Grandpa S happened to be in town this same weekend so they spent a fun-filled weekend with us! On the same day as the two parties we also had Cooper's last t-ball game and a pizza party to celebrate it. It was a very busy but fun day!

Glasses

Cooper, Jackson, and their cousins Ben and Elizabeth all had to get glasses! I couldn't believe that all 4 of them have to wear them!

Image The strange thing is they really change the look of their entire face!

Image

Image

Image

Image(I had a really cute pic of Cooper in them to put here but once I put it in I realized you could see my license plate in it-just imagine a cute Cooper in glasses here :)

Image Ok ok, you probably figured it out, they're just for fun!!

The Pumpkin Patch

We FINALLY went to the pumpkin patch! We drive by a few all of the time but rain and life just got in the way, but we were finally able to go last week! Yay! I love going to the pumpkin patch. Unfortunately the day we decided to go it was SUPER windy and kind of cold, but at least the boys could wear long-sleeves! Usually we're wearing shorts to the pumpkin patch!

Image They had few fun rides for the kids to ride.

Image Even Jackson was able to ride! He's with cousin Elizabeth, and can you see Ben and Cooper in the background?

Image Then we went on a hayride. I don't think my kids have ever done one before.

Image They had fun.

Image
Then we made them pose for pictures which isn't exactly their favorite thing to do. See how Jackson feels about it?

Image Next we went to a mini-hay maze. My kind of maze, you could see exactly where to go!

Image Cooper loves mazes so he was really excited about it.

Image So was Jackson!

Image He actually just loved throwing the hay I think.

Image
There were a few bounce houses so the kids of course loved that.

Image

J couldn't make it up that wall but he was able to jump in the bounce house! Look, he actually got both feet off the ground! He's getting SO big!

Image I think the hit was this slide.

Image The stairs were really steep so Jackson couldn't make it up on his own. I had to basically carry him up the stairs all the while praying I wouldn't fall down and land on all of the kids lined up behind me.

Image After that one time I was nervous I'd injure little children so I told Jackson he'd have to just watch. Well, this is what he did next.

Image So of course I took him up again.

Image Then the boys rested just a minute on this cute little bench.

ImageAnd then we spotted Mickey!

Image Jackson's very favorite friend!

Image
The last ride the kids went on was this mini ferris wheel. (the color is weird!)

Image Then we headed to do some pony rides.

Image Cooper told me he was going to say "giddyup" to the horse. Then he sat there so sweet the whole time.

Image

Image We finally picked out some pumpkins.

Image

Image Jackson discovered they make great seats!

Image

Image

Image We found a keeper!

Image The best way to end the day...getting a ride in a wagon from your little brother!
