How Could I...

Image
How could I forget about the other member of our family??????
Let me introduce our baby- Blanquita or "Quita" or "KiKi" to name a few of her nicknames.
Blan"Quita" is a Bichon Frise. She was born March 20th, 2008 and has been a very special and important part of our family since early June '08. A loose translation of her name would be - little white female (Spanish). It actually used to be my nickname but I am not gonna discuss that as it is still somewhat a sore subject. HA! She goes everywhere with us and often thinks she is a human...because my husband thinks so too and treats her as such! We love her very much and she has brought us a lot of joy and an increase of quality of life (and maybe some anguish too ).  :(

A difficult decison for a busier but more simple life...

SO I SUPPOSE I SHOULD CATCH YOU UP ON A FEW THINGS...
Simon continues to stay busy running the family businesses. He also does taxes this time of year and is in the process of possibly changing which real estate company he is signed with.
I am still vaguely resembling a housewife since quitting my HR position almost two years ago after becoming ill. In the midst of dealing with all of my issues, Simon himself was diagnosed with a fairly severe case of Hidradenitis Suppurativa. He has been pretty miserable but rarely complains...I don't know how he does it...Even the treatment has horrible side effects! He was even taken off the meds for a while because they damaged his liver and kidneys. The medication is one of the reasons we have decided to wait to have children.
LIFE KEEPS SHAPING SHIFTING...
I guess after being married for 3 years and buying a home not even a year after being married, we naturally thought the next step would be children. I seem to have this fear that I will not have the opportunity to do so. We have recently decided to take an exit and new adventure. We have decided to start back to school in March! :S It feels a bit like regressing... a few steps back or at least out order. We have decided to downsize and rent out our home while we attempt to go to school again. I have to admit I have been a little reluctant and had been dragging my feet a bit about the whole situation and process after the initial decision...I do truly believe it is the right thing...but I am a spoiled brat and sometimes it hurts to grow. (I am grateful for the opportunity to work on the bratty problem too!) Luckily, the renters are very excited about the home, which allows them both to live with their 2 children, one child's spouse and 3 grandchildren comfortably. They have signed a two year lease and hope to stay until he is able to retire from Boeing. So here I am at twenty...something starting over in some aspects...better late than later and surely better than NEVER. .

HERE I AM

Well...I have decided to actually use this thing....HERE WE GO...
