Dresses...

Abi, Bree and Natalie went out one day and took pictures in all of the dresses that they had made in Indonesia. The brother and sister that sewed them asked them too so that they could add the dresses to their TikTok account. My girls were good and tried to do ones that didn't really show their faces. They got some really fun pictures though. Funny when Natalie asked for the brown dress the dress makers kind of told her that it looked like an anime dress. I am not sure if they thought it would turn out well. Once it was made it was displayed on a manikin until we could come and pick it up. The sister told us that three people stopped asking if they could buy the dress while it was being displayed.

More September...

Sofia went to Quincey's birthday party and they went to a spa. She loved it and came home talking about how nice her skin felt.

The fall colors are so gorgeous right now that we took a Saturday and biked Squaw Peak road. It is super dusty but a good level for us. Sofia killed it and really picked up speed this ride. I was having a hard time keeping up with her. Natalie had tripped and hurt her leg while running so ended up not coming with us. Bree is not comfortable on the bikes and doesn't like to ride so it ended up being just Jared, me, Abi and Sofia. We had a great time though and would have gone farther if we had eaten lunch before going.

Joshua is alive and doing well in Arizona. He is in St. John's right now. We talk to him on Monday's and sometimes the girls are home too which is nice. They miss him a lot. Sofia said that she wishes he would get sick so that he could come home. A return missionary talked in Stake Conference about how he had to come home three times due to health issues. Sofia said that it would be nice.

While I am teaching I often have a small kitty who likes to come and swipe things off of my desk. Kit kat particularly likes hair ties.

Bree had her first choir concert. She is in Con Brio with her friend, Jenna. Bree loves choir and would like to get good enough to do acapella one day.

Orem Junior High lost power one day so the kids had an online learning day. Natalie had three friends over and they all did their assignments, played games, and ate food. So glad that my girls have good friends close by.

Cross country season is coming to a close. Natalie was first in the 8th grade girls at one meet and 3rd at another meet. She is doing well and learning how to pace herself. We will see how she does in region when she races against all of the other 8th grade girls.

Our neighbor has a kind of crazy dog named Jade. Sometimes we go to let her out to go potty. Their other doberman, Scarlet, is the most chill dog ever. Jared can usually calm Jade though and make her obey.

One Sunday we were going to have Bree drive to church as she has her learning permit but needs more practice. As she was pulling out she turned too sharply and hit the fire hydrant. It wasn't very hard so I told her to pull forward and back out again. She tried but the car wouldn't move. We got out to investigate and realized that the big bolt on the fire hydrant had gone through the side wall of the tire puncturing it. It was quite impressive since those bolts are not sharp. I wish we would have gotten a picture of the car when it was stuck. Jared got it off by pulling forward quickly which then caused the tire to basically explode since it already had a huge hole in it. Needless to say we took a different car to church.

After church we decided to go and hike to the Rock Canyon campground. It is another hike that is great to see the leaves and Bree and Natalie haven't been able to see them yet this fall. We started off but about a mile up it started to rain. Bree had forgotten a jacket and Natalie was in shorts. We pressed on for a little bit more but then decided that it was just going to get colder (and it was still raining). So the safest thing to do was to turn around.

September ended with Abi going to homecoming. She went with Ezra who also runs cross country. Most of the kids were from the cross country team. They had a good time. It is a good group of kids.
