He took his first steps today!! It was only the last two days that he's been trying out his balance. He's been standing for moments, sometimes for longer like 15 seconds before dropping down. And then woah! We're walking! See...
and more!
He's walking!!
This Blog is about the seasons in life, especially the life of my family. Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Trenton did his First Sign!
So we've been occasionally watching the first DVD of Signing Times (thank you Aunt Jenn!) and casually signing to Trenton. No big deal. No big push. The common ones we did have been "more" and "milk". Well Trenton was trying out a new sippy cup with some apple juice in it and having a great time! He was drenched in juice but loving it. So after a bit he kept throwing it down onto the floor. Jared would pick it up and give it back to him. Well after a few times of that Jared clued in "Oh, it's gone. He wants more." So we asked him if he wanted more and signed "more". He totally signed "milk" back to us! It was so obvious! It was the coolest thing I think I have ever seen!! We just sat there and watched him do the sign. So cool! Anyways, so we made him couple of ounces of milk (formula) and put it into his sippy cup and gave it back to him. He immediately tipped it up and started downing it... but then put it down with such a confused look on his face! We just laughed. I don't think he was asking for milk, he wanted more juice. He just knew that after the "more" sign came the "milk" sign. At least that's the way it's been all his life. :-) So we looked online and found the sign for juice and will be teaching the difference between the two. And of course we'll be watching alot more of Signing Times!!

Well since Tina and I are going to be staying in Nebraska for a little bit, we decided it was time to settle down. This last Monday we made an offer on a house (and 80 acres), and late Tuesday the offer was accepted. Soo, we are going to become Nebraska Farmers. YEEHAW. The farm is only four miles from the town that I teach in, so my commute will be cut tremendously. Not to mention the 80 acres, we are so excited. Since Ag loans are different than traditional mortages (no preapproval) we now have to begin the loan process. We are told that it could take up to 8 weeks to close, so with that and the work we want to do in the home, hopefully we will be in before Trenton's first birthday.

So, with today being Halloween we decided to dress up for our ward trunk or treat. We went as a Christmas Tree Lot. A few years ago we made the tree that Jared is wearing and today made both Tina's and Trenton's. We arrived a little late but we were still able to get some candy in Trenton's bag. He was having fun being dressed up, even if he doesn't understand it at all.

He's got Teeth!
Yup! The first one has finally punched through! It's feels really jagged, but maybe it's supposed to be so it can cut through the gums. The second is right there, just a few little layers of skin left to go. Woo-hoo! Teeth!

He's learning way too fast!

So Trenton can pull himself up to standing on just about any thing that is half way solid. He's not content on the floor anymore. He wants to be up and doing, that's for sure. It's not going to be long... ahhhhhhhh....Trenton 'helping' daddy fill the dishwasher. He was going to personally clean this lid all by himself. Yum, Yum.
And he LOVES to pull out his own toys now. Nothing is safe anymore. :-)

Tina got a job.
Well, it's taken me a week to get on and update everyone. A friend called me the Saturday we were in Utah and said her babysitter quit on Friday, could I possibly help out. So I've been babysitting for a friend all this week. I get to take Trenton with me and I play with their two and mine and get paid. Not too bad I'd say. She has a 3 year old little boy and a 9 month old little girl. Her two are quite the entertainment for my little guy. So basically I bottle feed, change diapers and play with Thomas the Train, all day! Ya, I know, it's tough.

Trenton was born in February and his cousin Jenna (left) was born a month later and the next cousin Morgan (rt) was born just two weeks after that. All with in six weeks. 3 little peas in a pod they were at reunion. And boy did they get a lot of attention!

He's Rolled Over!
Today Trenton has reached another milestone - he's rolled over from his back to his tummy! He's a bit less thrilled about it than we are. We cheered and praised him, but he just looked at us funny. Actually, he's not very happy at all when he reaches his tummy, but silly boy, you're the one who did it. :-) So at 15 weeks exactly Trenton has rolled over!
