After looking at the keyholes we stopped to eat at the only restaurant open. It was a typical Saudi Restaurant, individual cubes, shoes off, sitting on the floor, large plates of rice and meat that you eat with your hands. Gotta love it!

Shuwaymis
Our first stop was the Shuwaymis in the middle of no where! We originally thought maybe the bus broke down! Shuwaymis is stone structures than were built on the top of the plateaus of Rata and Al-Manjoor and in the surrounding valleys. Some have the easily recognizable keyhole shape that is typical of tombs from the Bronze Age (3 100 to 1 000 BCE). This area was really hard to see from the ground level. It was really easy to see on google maps when we used our locator.
