It's finally happening..

Well, it's finally here.. the dreaded NAUSEA!! After bragging to my friends that I had not experienced any sickness yet, I get 2 days in a row of it. I read online that sometimes it starts at/after 6 wks. & that's where we are.

Patrick and I are starting to make a list of names that we like, and discuss how we want the birth to be. We are checking into midwivery, and many of my classmates have done this and had a successful experience and short recovery.

*These are two websites of people that my friends have used with their births. Check them out if you want to know more about it. We can go to a consultation for free just to talk.

We still have a long 234 days left to make these decisions. Until then, keep us in your prayers.
Much love!!

Why I am a Doctor of Chiropractic

Because I honor the inborn potential of everyone to be truly healthy.
Because I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope.
Because I choose to care for the patient with the dis-ease, not the disease.
Because I wish to assist rather than intrude; to free rather than control.
Because I seek to correct the cause, not its effect.
Because I know doctors do not heal, only the body can heal itself.
Because I have been called to serve others.
Because I want to make a difference.
Because everyday I get to witness miracles..........
Because I know it is right! - Author unknown.

The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease. - Voltaire

Most men die of their remedies, not of their illnesses. - Moliere

Most over-the-counter and almost all prescribed drug treatments merely mask symptoms or control health problems or in some way alter the way organs or systems such as the circulatory system work. Drugs almost never deal with the reasons why these problems exist, while they frequently create new health problems as side effects of their activities. - John R. Lee, M.D.

The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.- Thomas A Edison

Doctors give drugs of which they know little, into bodies, of which they know less, for diseases of which they know nothing at all. - Voltaire

I get asked many times why I want to be a Chiropractor & not a medical doctor. The path I chose was the path that God provided me.

Most people do not understand what chiropractic does, and have views that the public has set. I will give you this example: Your brain is your power center. Your spine is the outlet & your nerves are different cords plugged into your organs supplying them life. When one of your vertebra gets of place and stops the flow, "kinks" your nerve supply to your organs & back up to your brain, your organs and body can not function @ its optimal level.

Chiropractic allows me to get the right knowledge & training to adjust & let innate fix the body. Just like God has intended for it to do.

Chiropractic does more than just adjustments. There is health, wellness, nutrition. Many people don't understand the connection of all your organs and you brain. For example: Stress decreases the function of your adrenal glands, therefore affecting your thyroid. Overall affecting your pituitary gland, pineal gland, hypothalamus, and hormones. You begin to "Rob Peter to pay Paul". Have you ever looked at it that way?

The nutrition that your body needs also keeps you organs going. Most organs need certain vitamins and minerals to function properly.

You see, if you try to let the body heal its self rather than stuffing drugs into it that ultimately cause other problems down the road, you will stay healthier longer.

I could go into this more, but do you see now why I love chiropractic?? I want to live a long healthy life. I want to put good food and vitamins in my body that will keep it running smoothly. I get adjusted and keep my spine healthy and my nerves flowing to my organs. I look at life differently. I try to let my body heal itself. I don't even remember the last time I was sick enough to go to the medical doctor!!

Grant it, there are some acute emergency situations that you need MD's for. & I thank them for that. But I don't believe in putting drugs into my body or stuffing it with garbage.

If you want to know more, let me know. Right now I am reading a book called "The Drugless Guide to Balancing Female Hormones" by Dr. Bob DeMaria. I went to that seminar & many things in his book I have used to balance my hormones.
