Done

I have just completed my last semester in Logan. I am currently sitting upon my bed waiting for Mum and Pops to come pick me up to move home. Finally, I'm moving home and it is a very bittersweet deal. I'm so ready for Student Teaching. My Level III Practicum was FANTASTIC!!! I had a wonderful class and an amazing cooperating teacher who prepared me so well for student teaching. I have to admit that I cried on my last day of practicum because I was so sad to be leaving my students. I love every one of them. I'm ready to have my own space at home and be able to leave projects or homework out without them being in the way. I will miss so many things about Logan because they hold such dear memories for me. I have not other way to organize my thoughts so here's a list:

School, School, School

My heavens! It has been WAY too long since I have posted! School has been incredibly busy and fun. I have been busting my buns on all of my lessons, units, presentations and other homework. Last Thursday was my last day of having class...ever....(until I go back for my master's.) There is no more going to class and being lectured. I am starting my Level III practicum tomorrow, Halloween day. I get to dress up for my kids! I'm going as Rosie the Riviter. When I'm done with practicum and finals I'll move home in less than 2 months to do my STUDENT TEACHING! w00t!!! It's going to be wonderful! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's coming full speed right at me! :D

Work, Work, Work

Best. Summer. Job. EVER! I just finished working at Sundance in the concession stand for the summer theatre. I'm so glad that the season is over. I'm going to miss all the people that I worked with. We really did have a great team. I just wanted to share a few of the awesome parts about working at Sundance.

1. They have some of the best food I've ever tasted there.
2. I got to be in a real live kitchen with real live 5-star chefs!
3. I got to work with some of the best people on the planet.
4. I got to eat all the popcorn I wanted.
5. If there were any broken cookies while we were wrapping them, we got to eat them.
6. It was cooler up in the mountains and not melting hot like the valley.
7. Mathew Perry was on property on the first day of work.
8. Elder Oaks and his dear wife came to the Sound of Music and got a sucker.
9. I had an overwhelming amount of compliments about my smile.
10. I became the master of making hot chocolate and sandwiches.
11. I got to see Mr. Redford, himself, one day.
12. Did I mention the broken cookies? Yum!
13. Valentine and I would have ice cube shootouts to see who could shoot it the farthest.
14. I got to be out in nature for work.
15. I got to see some super creepy bugs!
16. I met some really neat people while working the cashier.
17. More and more cookies...
18. I learned how they make different esspresso drinks.
19. I got to ride in the bed of a pick up truck.
20. COOKIES!!! :D

Busy Bee

I have been super busy lately being crafty so I thought I would share with you just a glimpse of what I've accomplished:

I saw this cute idea on a crafting blog I stumbled upon. I cut out a bunch of butterflies and wrote a life goal on each one and stuck it to the wall. When I complete a goal I take the butterfly off and put it in the jar.
Image On the jar I wrote, "Live life how you picture it."

ImageI have close to 50 butterflies but I also wrote a few that I've already done so I could have some in the jar.

Image Next, I bought a $10 all-white dresser from D.I. and fixed it up a little.

Image I sanded the top down and painted it black and bought new drawer-pulls. I also sanded down the sides of the drawers and put candle wax on them so they would glide pretty smooth when I pull them in and out.

Image I have had way too much fun playing at the D.I. My latest purchase was four cute little flower pots. One of them was just a regular brick red terracotta pot which I painted black. I will soon be getting a variety of plant starts from my grandma. Let's just see if I can keep them alive. :)

Image My next big project that I have been wanting to do for months is update and reprint songs in my guitar song book. I broke it up into 5 groups: Pop, Country, Oldies, Movies, and Church.ImageMy next step is to make a table of contents so I can find the songs quickly.

Image I'm not even close to be done crafting for the summer. I also have a dress that needs to be made, letters to be decorated, crocheting that needs to be finished and much, much more. I love a summer full of crafting!!! :D
