another asthma attack :(

Isabel was coughing a a lot yesterday and then when she came home from her dads it seemed to have got worse. We did a nebuliezer treatment shower and early to bed she was so excited for the breast cancer walk today, she missed it last year. Well at 2am she had a major coughing attack and her lungs sounded horrible. Another treatment and laying on my chest sitting up helped her to go back to sleep for a bit but at 5am it went downhill again. So no walk and we showed up in Brooklyn at 8am when Dr. Gadi's door opened. They were awesome saw her right away she got a shot of a steroid, nebuliezer treatments and breathing tests. He said she was REALLY BAD but after 3 hours we were allowed to go home on 2 different nebuliezer treatments, an antibiotic and a steroid. She has to stay home from school till at least wed. and NO gym or recess this week and tomorrow we have a recheck back at the Dr. I feel so bad she officially has my asthma gene, hopefully not as bad as I was as a kid!

First Day of First Grade

As Isabel would put it she is a NUMBER grade whoo hooo. For some reason this year shed a few more tears the kindergarten. Not sure why last year she was so little and lost, this year she was so excited, new the ropes and yet I found it harder to say goodbye. Maybe because she was so confident (which was awesome) now she is big enough do it herself last year she still needed me.
Well she did great, saw some old friends made lots of new ones and is excited about the year to come!!

She wanted to go short and had to get the new trendy feather in her hair!!! I love long hair but think she looks adorable in short!!

Trip to ER

Isabel was wheezing for 2 days now and then finally I took her in. Intention was to see the first med at LIJ but they walked us right over to the ER. They believe that from the high humidity we have been having that it has been giving a lot of people a hard time breathing. She got 3 treatments and then had to wait for 2 hours after I think it was 2am at that point to see how she was. All good she came home and was fine after.

She was funny... the pulse ox they put on your finger it would fluctuate on the monitor from 98-100 being the perfectionist she is she worked really hard to make it say 100 on the monitor. I am not sure what she thought she was doing to get it to 100 but it kept her quiet.

Indiana friends....

Kristin came in for her summer visit and the girls could not wait to see each other. Kristin, Devin and Shalyn came to the pool for the day with us it was great they had such a good time.


Of course the night ended in a sleepover! I LOVE that they really dont see each other but when they do it is like yesterday.

Great Adventure

Great Adventure Safari is the best, I think the best part is torturing Isabel she hates when I don't follow the rules of feeding the animals or keeping the windows closed... lol

















We had such a great day, not to hot and NO lines at all we were on and off rides easy at times the kids didn't even have to get off to ride again. Perfect day even with a little coxsackie!!

















Isabel was tall enough to get on all the rides this year. I actually got her to go on rolling thunder and she loved it!

Cousins

The Keene family drove in from Nevada (how crazy are they) sounds like they are having an amazing trip. It was their NY stop so we met up. So great to see everyone

Wackadoo Zoo

Isabel's end of the year kindergarten show WACKADOOZOO was adorable the kids were so cute. I have been listening to her sing these songs for so long it was nice to see it all on stage together. Scary how fast this year went by I can not believe she is done with kindergarten!


She made so many new friends what a great bunch of kids in her class. We got so lucky this year!

Swim Meet

It was our 3rd swim meet. Isabel was so excited and she has improved so much. She did awesome in Freestyle, she came in 1st. Breaststroke and Backstroke she did great but didn't win. That was OK because she swam her butt off and gave them good competition. Best part was she did not get upset she knew it was OK not to win as long as she had fun and tried her best!!
